This is not about an acne scar, but this forum seems to be quite reliable and specific on advice that is given, so I thought I'd get some help from you guys. So I'm seeking advice about how to approach treating this 3 months old fascial scar, which is indented and looks very visible even from a distance. I am not an expert but by looking at it I don't think there's considerable redness in the area thus it seems most of the appearance comes from the indentation.

I've looked into several options and seems for most indented scars rf microneedling would be the first line of treatment as it stimulates collagen production more than other methods, but for an scar this deep I'm not sure how effective that could be and couldn't come across any similar photos, .... There are also lasers which seem to mostly only help with texture and smoothing (and the scar currently has too smooth of a surface as it seems) and also there needs to be cautions with ablative variants due to the low skin thickness.

I would like to avoid an excision for as much as possible due to the risks involved, wondering what home and in-office treatments would best help improving this scar?
