I had a small flat mole on my nose that I deeply regret removing. In 2015, a dermatologist removed it, but it grew back darker and uglier. I did an online DIY with apple cider vinegar and left it on too long, and it cost a crater. I had numerous microneedling and chemical peel sessions throughout the years with a little improvement.
In February 2022, I had dermabrasion done with a different dermatologist. The scar is still about the same, but now it is darker and the surrounding skin is pink but gets red if touched.
I am feeling depressed. Not only is the hole still there but the discoloration is making everything worse.
The derm prescribed 8% hydroquinone and Ive had 2 microneedling sessions with no improvement in scar or discoloration.
I guess the discoloration is permanent since its been well over a year now.

any recommendations?

Is it discoloration or is that a shadowing effect? I can't tell. If it's from a shadow, that would mean the topography is causing it and not hyperpigmentation.
