did 3 sessions of rf microneedling and 2 sessions of laser, due for another 1 tomorrow
last 8-12 months ive been extremely anti social and hardly gotten out. today clean shaved and its extremely depressing.
Please help and suggest what to do. 1 doc has suggested fat transfer. another excision. I wanna start living life instead of hiding.
I think no matter what you do for these it's going to be a journey. I doubt if microneedling or laser will improve these enough. Fat transfer and/or excision both sound interesting for something as deep and distinct as these are.
Quick question though: If they're bugging you that much, why not grow a beard? Does that cover it up?
I agree with the idea above to grow a beard while you're in the process to treating these. Kind of how I may use makeup to cope while I'm treating my acne scars! It may just help you to go out more so you don't miss out on too much of your life while you're seeking improvement.
For the depth and distinction of these scars, I would think excision is probably your best bet. But it will probably be a process - I imagine a Dr might do like 5-8 at most of your deepest scars at a time. And then once it heals, go back to get more treated. That or fat grafting I would look into!! Try not to lose hope though, these can definitely be improved. I just think lasers and RF mircroneedling are not the right approach.

thanks for the reply, was refreshing for 2 days and no response so stopped looking.
I had a beard all this while but i hate a beard makes feel really old + grey hair in bits has started growing on beard ( off topic, can grey hair be reversed, im still 31) Trimmer shave makes scars looks less but clean shave is the above pic. A full grown beard has no hair at the big scar place below the line.
Also currently or atleast 2-3 months, below the big scar something keeps getting swollen and refells averagely once in 5 weeks, its active acne??
Where can i see before and after pics of fat transfer? Im seriously considering it now. will it cover most of the scars and how long does it last? Also in the last 6-12 months ive put a lot of weight ( near obese as per bmi calculator ), so lets say i do fat transfer and get active and lost 10-15 kgs, will it affect the fat on the face?

what make up to use, i got 0 knowledge where to start- im sick of keeping a beard. by excision u mean the entire beard line and stich it up or just bits ?
That's a lot of questions!
Growing a beard: I still think this is probably your easiest and best option. You can actually feel lucky that you're a man and can grow a beard to cover it. Boom. Problem solved. Right? Am I missing something? As far as the gray goes, just dye it if you want.
Something swelling up every 5 weeks: Not sure what you mean. I can't see anything. But it could be a cyst. You could see a doc and see if you can get a cortisone shot or if they can drain it.
Before and afters: Google for before and afters of any kind of scar treatment.
Losing weight: As far as losing weight, I don't know if that would get rid of fat that you transferred, but good question. Can you research it and let us know when you find an answer?
Lastly, as far as your scars go, they are deep and distinct, which makes them basically super hard to repair. Fat transfer and excision both sound interesting for such deep, distinct scars like you have, so I'd look at before and afters of both of those things.
Or...just grow a beard and be done with it. I'd probably do that if I were you. Just my 2 cents.
I had one very deep scar and I used TCA cross, it completely "closed" my scar. I think yours might be a good fit for TCA cross. However, this technique is risky and if operated improperly, it may even further damage the skin. Find an expert to do it. Try with one scar and see if it can help. If yes, you can scale it to more.

BTW, when you use TCA cross, you can try using the collagen dressing to keep your treated area moisturized and isolated to external environment, which may further "protect" the wound to heal. You can refer to this post I wrote about how to use collagen dressing and 3M tegarderm to treat scar. THERE IS HOPE! Good luck!
Some people swear by TCA cross and I agree it helps some, it worsens others (like me) but it may depend on the technique or experience.
I'm more on board with an excision before I'd do other things. Laser won't blend or treat deep sharp scars and subcision is more a gamble for rolling not sharp scars in my opinion.
I mean, excision will leave a line and cause some material loss, and it's best for just a few scars in general, but also when you're dealing with sharp deep scars it's hard to ablate your way to that depth. Even if you fully ablate the area you probably won't reach the depth enough to where it was safe.
Excision and/or fat transfer and/or subcision at some point. Things like this should be explored. Lasers and RF will not help at least not at this stage. I agree this is a struggle. It has to be done in increments or logically to form enough of a foundation to do other procedures. Right now you can't do other procedures like blending or ablative because you don't have a flat or canvass so to speak to gamble on other things. I mean when i had deeper icepicks before dermabrasion I couldn't even attempt other things like lasers even if I wanted to. Even if you have scar tissue in areas, you can always try to reshape or blend scar tissue.
