HI All,

does anyone know of any doctors in arizona that do needling and TCA cross. And what type of scars can this procedure be used on. How old does a scar have to be, before it can be treated. And what type of scars can needling and TCA cross be done on. I know its a lot of questions, but any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Also~ just a thought~ I accidentally gouged out a chunk of skin on one of my thumbs~ it wasn't small~ it took 1 month to completely fill in~ you can barely tell it's there, only that it's a little red~made me think of collagen production and needling.

Funny you mention that I took a good chunk out of my finger accidentally on a grater about a week and a half ago. Kept it covered with neosporin and a bandage for 3 days. One the fourth day it still looked quite indented. Now it has pretty much filled in and hardly noticeable. Who says the face is the most forgiving when it comes to scars?

Oh man~~I always get a little freaked when I use the grater with the thought of doing just that! It's amazing how the body heals itself.

I'ts my understanding that needling can be done on any atrophic scar. I think tca cross works best on icepick scars in particular.

That before and after pic is B.S., sorry. I believe it's a fake. Take a closer look. Needling might be more dangerous than you think, causing sub-dermal scarring.

For the people with really badly damaged skin there is still hope ( if you are still young) , stem cells are already used on a small base. In the future they can help to form skin the way you want it. The cells contain information which made your skin the way it should be like when you never had any acne, so it will regenerate new skin where it is needed. It is in development and it will be real one day, but not for atleast 20 to 30 years. Btw same goes for other parts of your body (organs etc) . When this is possible, cancer will be cured too. This yes I know is many many many years from now. But by that time people will grow older than 100 as average age so if you are about 20 you will be around 40 to 60 when it's available But don't be sad you will be looking like an old grandpa or grandma, cuz this will eliminate all wrinkles and even grey hair!

Hope my people, there is hope.

Just start saving up, that the only real advice I can give ya all. Be prepared for the solution.

Just an update.

I never did end up self needling again. This weekend I went to Frank at Transitions and had a needling session done and plan on doing return visits. I'll keep ya'll posted.

 Anyone care to update us all more on your progress of needling?

I don't think needling or TCA Cross are effective treatments. I don't know how some of you people are seeing such great results with them. I have pre- and post-needling and TCA Cross pictures on my web site to show it:

As far as Cross goes, there's one scar (a slight depression) that I've tried it about 7 times on over the past year, and it hasn't changed at all. I keep doing on that scar on the outside chance that it will change, but it hasn't.

Wow! Was up to page 4 and so intrigued in this 'needling' method (have never heard of it before) and then saw the posts were from 2005. Wonder how much things have improved in the world of needling - or other similar options with great results as well - since then.
