I went to a a consult for acne scars.
i now have a plan to do subcision on my cheeks, excision of deep scars on my temples, and then co2 full face/ and then on just the scars after that if its still needed.
I was told co2 would be absolutely necessary after the excision to smooth out the line scars left behind from that. Which makes total sense. But i was recommended to do the full face, not just the scars. Ive always been very weary of lasers as ive read stories of fat loss and orange peel texture, droopy skin after. I have a few nasty boxcar scars on my face that mainly i want worked on, but the skin around them is just fine. Im worried about doing full face laser and ruining my nice healthy skin? I mentioned if we could just laser the scars and they seemed to want me to just do the full face. Other then that the whole plan sounds great, just nervous about lasers..
what do you guys think?
experience with co2 laser? Should i ask them when i go in for subcision if we can just laser the scars rather then full face?

I have good experiences with CO2 laser though. If everything is done properly, side effects are very unlikely.
Thats great to hear! Do you have any thoughts on excision?
Basically if you excise those larger scars your going to have a linear scar with a depression but it will be more "blended" probably is the best word. I'm not a giant fan of excision but for wider scars where you have to cut out some material and connect the rest due to it's width, it's probably the most applicable treatment.
Then he's probably going to try to blend it all, including the linear scar with a c02. Personally I'm not sure on lasers in general but it seems reasonable based on your scars. In other words the suggested treatment is reasonable. The presumption is it will heal and blend well.
The question is, even if it's excised and blended from c02, there will still be some fat loss there, would people suggest subscision before/after? In other words, would throwing in a subscision before excision or c02 help raise those scars more to blend better, or afterwards. That's a question maybe someone else might answer.
Also yeah, you're pretty I wouldn't feel too down on those scars. Most people gonna be looking at your smile probably.

Thank you for the compliment really means alot when im feeling down on myself about my scars. As for the excision, the RN said since the scars on my temples appear white and like they have no fat underneath, its best to excise them since she thought I wouldnt see results on them with subcision or lasers. She grabbed the dermatologist whod be performing the excision and he agreed. So just the ones on the temples they want to excise, then blend with co2 full face. The cheeks subcision. I am nervous about the potential of ending up with a worse scar ive heard some horror stories. But trying to think positive. I dont like how they look now so something is worth a try.
