Does anyone have any recommendations for filler in Southern California? I am currently in Santa Barbara but also commute to Los Angeles frequently. If you have any recommendations in this area I would really appreciate it. For the most part, the texture of my skin is smooth and the box car edges have been smoothed out to rolling scars. I think I just need filler to plump up some scars because of atrophy. Also, would it be better to go to a plastic surgeon for this or a dermatologist? Thanks.
I spent over $6k in Bellafill for acne scarring in the past with the so called Filler Guru in LA without any perceptible sign of improvement, feels like water was injected to my face. After further research and consultation with Dr. Hazany and Dr. Lim, they said that filler alone cannot raise most acne scars due to tethering/attachment at the bottom tissues plus fluid trek to areas of least/less resistance. You need to subcise(subcision) first to detach the scars from the bottom,only then can fillers can raise it.
