I'm betting subcision might help with that.
Thing is, who do you go to and who do you trust? It's your face, so get a couple (or 3) opinions. That's what I would do. I would make an appointment with 3 dermatologists or plastic surgeons who specialize in scar repair and I wouldn't say a single thing to them about what the others have said. Then see what they say. Are they all saying the same thing? Who do you trust the most? Who has the best before and afters? I'm basically saying do an exhaustive search and go with someone you trust the most.
Just because you have a doc doesn't mean he's the best to do scar repair. Get several opinions and trust your gut. This link might help.
Subcision and filler are the safest treatments in the beginning. I think you'll see some results there.
Re-excising them is an option, not a recommendation (you can only decide for yourself). Do you want to go back to that same plastic surgeon? I'd consult with others and see what they say. Ask them about their stitching techniques, how they would cut out the scars, and their experiences with excisions in those areas of the face. Just a warning: doctors need to cut out a little more than the current size of the scar.
