Looking for advice on how to treat the scars on my back and shoulders. The only treatments I have received thus far are steroid injections to help flatten the keloids and I have also tried applying retinol cream on my back in an effort to treat the hyperpigmentation. Most of these scars are 7-8 years old.

From what I gathered pulse dye laser might be an option since most of my scars have flattened from the kenalog injections and its really the color and texture I am trying to treat. I am unsure however if pulse dye laser would be strong enough to treat these scars, and if I should look into something more aggressive.

Pdl is the way to go. Retinols won't do much, it's mainly a vascular issue which pdl targets

Just got finished consulting a cosmetic derm about potential treatments for myhyperotrphic scarring. Was recommended fraxel + vbeam, multiple sessions. V-Beam to help target the discoloration and redness, fraxel more for the texture.

Are these lasers, strong enough to target these types of scars? Would like to get people's thoughts.
