Hi Im ken, I am 30 years old Ive been struggling with acne since I was 16, I was left with terrible acne scars after an untreated period with cystic acne around 2012, I was really insecure back then, now Im not as insecure but I just want want see some improvement after all this years, wanted to know what would be best treatment for my type of scars, I live in Monterey area of California, want some doc suggestion around California any advice would be hugely appreciated. have never done any treatments at all. I have a budget of 12-15k to spend can more but would be nice if it could be less, I just hoping to see 30-40% improvement given how deep my scars are thanks in advance pictures taken on harsh daylight
You have realistic expectations and seem to be coming from a calm, good place, so you are on the right track.
Looks like you might need a combo of things. My guess: Subscision, TCA, ablative laser. But that's just a guess and your doc would have to give you the plan, and you'd have to agree to it. Get under the care of a good doc you trust who specializes in acne scars, and make sure their story doesn't change. They should be confident and unwavering. And since it's your face, I always recommend getting a second opinion no matter what.

Although they are noticeble but they are not that indented like a deep pit, Subcision and filler like bellafil or restylane would give you the most improvement. You can also go for subcision and suction, that will also help you a lot.
Subcision and TCA Cross would be the treatments I would suggest you start off with. Don't spend that much on treatments without doing research. You can easily spend $8kwith Dr. Emer when spending $1-2k with another doctor will get the similar results.
Dr. Rullan is in San Diego and he's one of the best doctors for subcision. He also does Phenol Cross.
Dr. Morganroth is in Mountain View. He's not the most personable doctor and he uses Nokor, but someone here pointed out that she got good results after several treatments from him.
I also want to add that filler is definitely something you should consider. I think you will see good benefits from it.
Most fillers are temporary so costs will add up over time. However; if you can afford it, the cost may be well worth it because of how they may make you feel. Bellafill is a semi-permanent filler so doctors are injecting more of that. It's been said that you should use temporary fillers first to see if you like the results before you consider Bellafill.
Excisions are an option as well but I would consider other procedures first.
Thanks for the reply @Amanda Hallalso have a question I still have hip maybe u cant really see it because I use some light sunscreen, but should I correct my red spots first before doing any scar treatments, also I still get acne ocassionally but most mostly around my neck..

The red spots are not scars but the redness or pigmentation makes scars look worse. As long as your acne is under control, I think it's fine to start scar treatment.
Everybody should wear sunscreen everyday even if it is cloudy and regardless or if you have scars or not.
Also, please don't tell doctors how much you are willing to spend. They might design a treatment plan that involves multiple treatments.

Yeah I would definitely not be disclosing my budget, Im leaning towards flying to San Diego with dr rullan, I imagine Id first have to contact him thru his site and set up an appointment. I have very soft skin to touch not sure how those treatments would react with my skin but Im willing to spend whats necessary to see good results, Ill prolly document my journey here on another post.
