Yeah. I would have done my procedure with him but hes out of my Price range. Ill continue to save while looking at other doctors and seeing what they say/charge. I refuse to go into debt for this.

No need to go into debt or pay these prices, really. Overblown, Beverly Hills prices. Sure, Dr Hazany could be very good doctor, achieving results, but it is also true that he is young and not as experienced as other scar specialists in California. Also once the Sculptra dissolves, the results won't be AS impressive, I think.

Other than Hazany and Rullan, what notable scar specialists are there even in California? Like someone who really knows acne scars and won't just throw another laser at you.

There's Rahimi, but he's a laser guy and his popularity on this forum has died out over the years.

Hi Guys,

I have an appointment with him on Monday 11/08/21 for my acne scars, I will update you guys . I have been a member here centuries ago haha  but can™t remember my old account. I™m guilty of being one of those who vanished after successful treatment.Sorry, I had to live and enjoy life and make up for lost time and fun from acne scarring but I did post an update before I left. Currently, I would say that my left over acne scarring is mild and I can live without further treatment but why not¦ I have maybe a few ice pick scars and a few shallow boxcar remaining.

What worked for my acne scarring in the past:  I would rate my scarring to be a 7 or an 8  before in severity if 10 is the most severe; currently I would rate it as 2 or 3. In the past they were touting everything fraxel as the  new miracle treatment but meeeeh, also had friends do the repair with no to minimal improvement. I tried saline injections and microneedling - in my opinion worsened my scars a bit; no perceptible improvement. Years ago no one was doing TCA cross in the Los Angeles area. After much research and desperation I took the risk and went for Dermabrasion (not micro) combined with TCA peel - general anesthesia/sedated. I would say I was impressed with the results, I would say 35 to 40% improvement but the recovery was not for the faint of heart and the impatient. Honestly, I was pink and blush/flushes easily for months and my face was noticeably lighter than my neck for several months. I would say my normal skin color came back after 10 to 12 months. I was back to normal life though after around 2 -3 months but flushes easily. It made my skin really smooth to the point that I was getting random compliments  from strangers and co-workers about my skin, getting asked about my skin regimen etc. This made me really really happy and relieved. But as you guys know the psychological scarring will forever be there, I can still see some residual scarring upclose in the mirror. After 3-4 years I did another dermabrasion, same recovery suffering and this time I had a little bit white scarring I think from the tca but not too obvious. I would say it improved my scarring again, another 35 to 40 %.  I was happy with the results and again I was getting unsolicited  compliments from random people but as you guys knows you are still scarred psychologically and you know and still see your own scars. As much as I want to do another final dermabrasion, I just can™t go through the recovery again. I can live with my skin now¦..but

Since there were new treatments in recent years, I attempted to try some of them out. I had 5k worth of bellafill with the so called filler guru Dr. R¦.in Santa Monica/ Beverly Hills, total waste of money, no perceptible improvement at all. This treatment I totally regretted, 5k down the drain as if I was injected with water. I was supposed to do Mixto laser too with Dr. Ra¦mi, I did pre procedure labs and medications etc. but I got pissed and just cancelled because his staff were so unprofessional and were all over the place about scheduling and charging my credit card.

Since, I have some time off right now¦I thought of maybe getting some acne treatments. Tried scheduling with Dr. Be¦am for TCA cross but the wait list is too long. Perhaps it™s a blessing in disguise because I got in touch with one of his patients via IG  and she told me that her scars got wider and deeper and she was having a hard time trying to see/contact him post treatment. I have been hearing about Dr. Rullan but I just can™t drive that far, Dr. Emer has been totally totally out of consideration for me because some people I know totally hated their experience with him - they can™t even see or talk to him after their procedures that costs thousands of dollars. So I chanced upon Dr. Hazany, hopefully he can improve my residual scars and not make them worse. I™ll let you know guys¦.

BTW Dr. Mark Berman (Cosmetic Surgeon) in Beverly Hills did my Dermabrasion years ago, I™m not sure if he™s still performing this procedure but he is still practicing. Not a lot of doctors are doing dermabrasion anymore, even years ago I had a hard time finding someone who will do it.

Do you have pictures from before your treatments. These pictures almost no scars. They just look minor enlarged pores. That™s all.

I went to see Dr. Hazany today 11/08/21 and I had Phase 1: Face Peel $600 (6 mins peel) + $350 Phenol Test spot + $175 Bleaching cream/ his version of Tri-Luma + 20% down for Phase 2 - Phenol Cross/ $800 per area/ I am doing both cheeks so = $1600¦ + taxes. He wants me to come back in 2 months; he wants me to be fully healed from the test he said. He also said that He™ll have to think if he™ll do phase 3 because he said I have permanent fillers Bellafill (by Dr. Ri¦.in- no improvement $5k).

My assessment: Of course I couldn™t tell yet because I haven™t had the major phases of treatment. Yes, he is expensive and I was aware of that before I scheduled; so no surprise there; expensive is relative. The staff were very pleasant; they meticulously took photos/videos in different angles and lighting, took around 30 minutes I think. Dr. Hazany is funny, straightforward - no filter kinda guy, he says what he thinks.  Based from my assessment he is not the type who would have œshills online, just my opinion. When I mentioned that I read about him here, he immediately said don™t believe those post etc.. he also said those people alter lighting etc¦. I told him Doc listen it™s not negative, some of of your patients are praising you online that™s why I am here¦..he™s like show me ,my patients are private people they wouldn™t post pics there blahblah hahaha¦. he even took his laptop lmao¦. I showed him Danny™s pic and he just said ahhhhh ohhhh okay lmao¦.so he is really clueless about shills and self promotion. I told him he needs more social media presence, he said he is super busy with surgery. We end up looking at Dr. Rullan™s and Dr. Emer™s website lmao, I also showed him acne.org, obviously  he hasn™t seen the reviews about him, he asked me to pull it up, he thought it was all bad after reading a few lmao¦I said no your patients are happy with the outcome read more lol¦¦¦There was a patient there for phase 3 subcision and he asked the patient™s permission for me to take a quick look, the patient agreed. He also answered my other beauty/skin questions unrelated to my acne scars.

I™ll update you guys with my phase 2, hopefully my scars improve, this is my last attempt to fix it. I am also hoping I get to do phase 3 ( he™s not sure yet due to my Bellafill). As of now I can sense that he wants to do his best to fix my face lol.

update¦.had the phenol cross Jan. 4, 2022 ¦ photos from last week¦as you guys know it takes time to see results from phenol or tca cross - collagenesis, and there is inflammation etc. ¦so I won™t/can™t give an improvement assessment at this time to be really fair and honest with my review¦.wish me luck¦phase 3- subcision in Feb/March

¦and to answer the question about dermabrasion¦the percent improvement was just my guesstimate but it really really improved my scars/my face waaaaaay better than any treatment or lasers I™ve done in the past¦.but like I said the recovery if not for the faint of heart, dark/medium skin¦.esp if you are a male or have suicidal tendencies¦..

Are stages 1 and 2 very important? Would it be effective if we did the 3rd and 4th steps directly? I can spare 2 weeks at the most. I will come a long way

I think he does it by consecutivephasesI believe he doesnt do a direct to phase 3 etc. the preceding phase contributes/areessential for the success of the succeeding phase (collagenesis etc.).actually you can go back towork or go back to your usual activities same day esp now that we are required to wear masks all the time..and the interval of each phase is about 2 months - I know thats one of my biggest gripe! Im just trying to be patient since this is my last treatment for my scars ever Ivebeen okay with it for many years, just did it spur of the moment..

Thanks @Danny562, I hope so.. Ive always had realistic expectations with all my treatments and after mydermabrasions (2x),my scarsdoesnt reallybotherme anymore. I was just researching stuff online one day and thought maybe it could get a little bit better.

It was just particularly hard for me before when I was younger but not anymore.because of peoples comments and expectationsof me being flawless when I was younger.I was a Camay girl/Miss Camay back in the day in my country,a famous beauty soap decades ago in that side of the globe.then suddenlyI started having severe acne and of course the scars (acne treatments/care before wasnt as good/advance or asaccessible)It was devastating! People were commenting, how did she become a camay girl, shes not that pretty in person, what a joke, or what happened to her face, she used to be pretty/flawless.even family, friends and people I know would say that. But I got over it, it is what it is. I just think that everyone has their own battles in life and I am still very, verylucky. My acne scars at least taught me humility, acceptance, contentment, perseveranceand by removing my focus on beauty and vanity it allowed me to cultivate my other facets. It allowed me to channel myfocus on my studies and away frombeauty andthe boys lol.Ifinished university as magna cum laude and topped my board exam, weird but the scars made me strive to be better than who I was, to be more than who I used to be.. The mind isits own place, and in itself, can make heaven of hell, and a hell of heaven.

I know you said you don't have photos any more but what kind of scars did you have pre dermabrasion? And were they still depressed before dermabrasion or were they mostly leveled? I heard they shouldn't be indents before dermabrasion.

Like most people I have mixscars. Icepick, boxcar and rolling scars but I didnt have really deep or big scarsthough. I had 2 dermabrasions, it improved the overall skin appearance, erased a lot of superficial scarring, made the borders of scars less noticeable. So far, best acne scar treatment Ive done and Ive done a lotbut its not for everyone and the recovery was hellish and not a lot of doctors are doing it nowadays. Doing subcision next week.

yup , I™ve tried fillers¦. I was gonna fly to Australia to see Dr. Lim but he referred me to Dr. E¦. but I spoke with people I know who went to Dr. E and all/most were not happy so decided to try out Dr. H based from the recommendations of people I talked to online¦..

I love fillers- Voluma for sunken/volume loss on the face but not for acne scars¦and it lasts 2+ years plus

¦. just woke up¦ had subcision today, I thought I would be awake so I was a bit nervous¦. woah!!!!!  I dint feel anything at all not even a tug and I was only given 2 tiny sublingual pills¦. will post update soon¦

Im not yet done with my treatments. It all depends on how manyareas,levels/layers, amount of scarring etc.. So,I guess it would be different for everyone, others have already mentioned how much they paid.He is in Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills so expect it to be up there.
