Hi acne.org community!
I would really appreciate some suggestions for my acne scars. I have been suffering from acne since 2013 and now i can finally afford a treatment for my acne scars but i don't know which treatment to choose. btw the nose scars i have them since 2016 and the scars close to my eyebrow I got them february this year.
I decided to go to 2 different doctors too see what they would suggest for my acne scars, each doctor offered different treatments.
Doctor 1: Subcision + reticulated filler + biofiller(plasma gel?) + Chemical Peeling.
Doctor 2: Co2 laser + erbium glass laser.
First of all, you need better pictures because the ones you uploaded are blurry. You don't want us to mistaken one type of scar for another.
It seems like you have an atrophic scar near your eyebrow that is too deep for lasers. Filler and subcision seems to be appropriate.
I don't want to comment on your nose scars because they are hard to see.
Don't go to Doctor 2. S/he doesn't know how to treat scars.

Yes, sorry i didn't use the best lighting either. I'll try to post better pictures.
The scar close to my eyebrow is the one that i hate the most, hopefully i can see great improvement with subcision! would you recommend PMMA? this doctor is a plastic surgeon with a medical esthetic diploma and is really affordable, actually so affordable that I am skeptical so idk if I feel comfortable with PMMA due to me watching "Botched" maybe I am just exaggerating, he has done many subcisions before.
I went to the most renowned and respected dermatologist of my city 2 years ago, he was very interested and focused at first because i had a big scab on my nose that was not normal, so he helped me with that. but once i talked about my scars he got bored and just sent me to the office of her esthetician for me to talk to her, the esthetician offered dermabrasion and micro needling. telling this story just in case people say "Just go to a well-known dermatologist".
coming back to Doctor 1... the cost for PMMA filler(FDA approved according to him) + Plasma gel + subcision + collagen filler + chemical peel = 150$USD all face treatment. also, important to say is that I am from South America.
TLDR: Venting because It is hard to find a Doctor for scars, also I am scared of PMMA. is PMMA worth it? How can i treat scar discoloration?
Here are some better pictures(some scars have discoloration so it is hard to see deepness I think):
PMMA is semi-permanent, right? That's one thing you have to be careful of. Bellafill is PMMA. Lots of doctors vouch for its safety but there are some that say Bellafill will migrate. Maybe you should try something that is not permanent so you will know if it offers improvement. This is the safest route. If you like the results, then do PMMA.
Subcision should be the first thing you should do. I'm not sure chemical peels will help that much for a deep scar but the price is cheap.
For your nose scars, I think TCA Cross could help the divots. Please look at other posts so you know the risks. Also research subcision for the nose. I've read that it is tricky in that area so you may not see improvement.

$150 for all that? Wow, that's a steal. But asthey say, when it's too good, it's usually a scam. So do your research thoroughly.
If the doc is good as you say he is and he only charges $150, that's a real bargain. (But admittedly something sounds fishy.)
BTW subcision isn't as effective on the nose as TCA. You need several rounds of 100% TCA.

I have scars in that area too. Dr.Rullan said he would not do subcision in that area because there because of the proximity to the eyes. He mentioned that TCA/phenol crossresponds well.
