Silicone question

I read that silicone gel and strips help to increase the level of collagenase. If this is true, does this mean that silicone inpairs wound healing?

No Silicone promotes wound healing. This is why it's used in silicone patches and liquid for young scars only. After surgery's etc once the wound has closed up. It's not going to do some magical thing for old acne scars though.
