Anybody else obsess over their post acne indentations all the time? To the point of daily anxiety around people? Does anybody else live in terror of bad lighting? Does anybody else feel hopeless in overcoming the daily embarrassment of having the scars? Does anybody else contemplate death as an option because of all pain they feel daily?

My parents dont understand me, they tell me im fine, which makes me feel guilty for worrying about my scars. I KNOW my skin looks bad and I just wish I could talk to somebody that is like me and cant overcome the sadness, anxiety that comes with bad skin.

This is so tragic for me.

@Grooving Till Old, Till DustI don't know where you live but I would definitely look into therapy for this. This is part of the treatment for scars, scars leave trauma emotionally and mentally. You can find low cost therapy at most colleges, even if you don't goto one. And if you are home bound and don't go out there is a smart phone app in the USA called talkspace for therapy. Often people with acne scars have a form of BDD Body dysmporphia where they obsess over their skin and the perception of others. Treatment can only go so far, the rest is in our heads and preventing us from moving on with life and love.
