Is it better to try to improve your scars at a younger age than doing it when you are much older?

I'm 20 years old and have some scars due to terrible cystic acne. My question is if it is better to try to fix your scars when you are young and your skin heals better and faster(is this true?), than doing it later in your life when your skin is older, looser and don't heal very fast? I'm doing TCA cross and dermarolling 1mm with great results so far.

Thanks! :)

It's not about age. I've seen users who are in their 40's who have had great results with treatments. It's all about genetics, healthy en positive living.

It is better to treat your scars when the scars are new. It would be better to treat your scars sooner rather than later. Although I am positive that, in this day and age, you will get amazing results either way.

Fresh scars are better and often heal without much treatment. Older scars are more fibrotic and thus need more treatment, may not disappear. Age is also a thing, the older one is they have to combat that in their treatment with the scar treatments (fat loss, texture issues, etc). Young people heal quickly. Where older people may need more time to recuperate and heal. This also has to do with testosterone, and hormone levels. This is why they use stem cells from babies.

Youve already got some good answers but Id just like to add,

All scar treatments are time consuming. They are typically spaced out by more than one month, and take time for results to show. Years will pass before you know it, so its best to get started early if you are serious about it.
