So I went to my derm to get rid of some skin tags and some bumps on my face left from a cyst acne or hyperplasia. Either way I got it done and my face looks like it has chicken pox or some bug bites. Did anybody have the same experience and did it leave indented scarring after scans are removed. How long did it take to fully heal these electric needle marks?
It can cake a few weeks, they are wounds. Please put triple antibiotic cream or vaseline on them all night. You can also use dilute vinegar to pat them (never rub or pick), this kills bacteria and makes the skin exfoliate. Some like natural honey and aloe vera on their PIE. It's just like a zit or scrape that needs to heal.
I noticed that the bumps are still there but there's a scab on the top. Is this because the derm didn't do it correctly? I don't want to do another electric needle after this but the bumps are smaller than before. Does apple cider vinegar work to reduce the bumps for cyst, hyperplasia, or skin tags as they promote on the internet? I'm thinking after my scabs are healed, I'll try natural ways to flatten the bumps.
You have wounds on your face, before you decide to do anything or pick, let them heal, they are inflamed. Just like if you get a scab on your body, it needs to heal.
No acid right now - Apple Cider Vinegar, you have fresh wounds on your face.No ACV will do nothing for this. Once you are fully healed you could do TCA peels on them it would remove layers of skin, or laser.
I only put honey at night and it's healing quite well. the red spots did become less. I think this was trap oil left from a sebaeous cysts that was bigger before when it shrank, it didnt complete go away and the red spots turned brown and small lump. After the electric needle, the yellow pus came out and now it's flatter than before and the raw honey is making the wound heal faster during my sleep. I'm not going to use any ACV until it fully heal or tea tree oil that diluted to make sure it flattens all the way through. The PIE will eventually fade but in time.
So it's been almost three months since I had my electric needle to remove my cyst acne or hyperplasmia. Either way, I'm still left with these dark purple spots. I think the needle surgery made the hyperpigmenation harder to fade, maybe it was deeper in the epidermis. I started using Meladerm cream to avoid using hydrocositsone cream (heard negative side effects). Anyways, Do you think these will fade back to the normal skin tone? Do I have to wait longer 6 months or year? It's frustrating to see these spots everyday. Wondering if it's permanent marks, but when I check online, many say they will fade in time. Any suggestions?
@OnemoredayHyperpigmentation takes a long time to heal. If you press on it and it goes away it's PIE and if it stays it's PIH. Did you try retin a aka tretinorin cream and hydroquinone aka skin bleaching cream after your procedure. Vitamin C serum is also helpful. Hypigmentation is common in all skin types that are not pale white. If this does not work the next step is pigmentation laser aka vbeam or quadrostar pro, this works the best. For other treatment options including acid peels look at my faq in the below signature, and goto the skin section (pie, pih).
When i press on it it turns lighter to back to regular tone. So i think it's PIE. However, there are some days when it looks darker and other days when it looks lighter. My derm gave me Adapalene which is a Vitamin A Retin but it didn't really do much. I tried the over the counter bleaching cream called Nadinola but it made that area really red so i think my face is highly sensitive to Hydroquinone. I'm using Meladerm which doesn't contain Hydroquinone, but natural skin lightening ingredients. I only used it for 2 weeks but as you can see the three marks near my mouth is still dark purple. Perhaps, i need to wait more than 6 months total. I'm only passed my 3rd month. I tried Vitamin C serum, but doesn't seem to work either, the only option i have is to just be patient and wait. NOt sure about spending on Vbeam, since my marks are deep in the skin. I'll post another update pic 2 months after to compare and give me estimated time for full recovery fade.
Ok so I just had my first V beam Perfecta treatment on my PIE. The procedure was quick and some areas hurt more than the others. M face was swollen on several spots and I have some black red spots couple hours after the v beam treatment. It's like a black blood spot or purpa bruise. other areas i don't have any bruises but the PIE still looks the same. I heard it takes couple months after the first treatment to see results. Could you provide me of the time duration of see results and if a second or third treatment is required. Also how long does this bruise or purpa go away? The small area without the brusing has a raised skin looks like an allergic reaction swollen but it wasn't there on the day of the treatment.
This is all normal. Everyone goes through this after Vbeam. I am not your skin so no idea. Could be weeks to months. Follow your doctors care and instructions. Vbeam takes 6-8 treatments. You will know within a few if things start to fade a little. For some IPL works better, it really depends on how the skin reacts. Purpura is a bruise, take vitamin K, no idea how long you take to heal from bruises, buy some dermablend makeup to cover surgery and scars. By the way you were not using hydroquinone above ^ Meladerm does nothing, and Nadinola is not for fading the face, it has other stuff in it.
