History

Hi, this is my first post, I'm a 19 year old male who had a little more than moderate acne from about ages 12 or 13 to around 17, I started the Proactiv+ 3 step program when I was 17 and after a little while I had almost complete grip on my breakouts, they barely entered my mind, although they still happened often but not too often. I just turned 19 and up until literally around a day or two after my 19th birthday, I had never had any acne scarring in my life, through my worst years of acne and several thing I probably shouldn't have done to my face, I was never left with anything more than hyper-pigmentation. I had pretty clear skin for all of my 18 year, and then near the end of the summer when the fall was approaching, I noticed a few more breakouts than usual, so I went to my doctor (not dermatologist) and although she said she thought my skin didn't need anything she prescribed me Clindoxyl gel, 5% Benzoyl Peroxide which was a double up of the 2.5% in proactiv. Although she assured me that this in no way would make my skin worse and the worst case scenario was that it didn't improve anything, long behold it made my skin 10x worse for the whole 2 months I was on it, and if that wasn't enough, a short while after stopping it and returning to Proactiv which returned my skin to it's previous breakout cycle, I noticed that it had left a handful of small indented scars on my cheek. Although I attribute it to the Clindoxyl, another possibility is that because it made my skin worse, the average pimple was staying on my face for a couple weeks and just progressively getting worse throughout its life cycle. Another possibility although I'm not sure if I'm convinced of it's logic is that due to a more rigorous routine I was over exfoliating with the first step of Proactiv's routine, a physical scrub exfoliant, as some tiny indents formed on places where pimples had been healed and disappeared for months, and only hyper-pigmentation was left.

Question

So my question is, since my scars are relatively new, (the oldest being a month and a half and the newest being 2 weeks or so) are there any treatments that can take advantage of a scar early in it's life cycle?

As of now I wash and treat my face with the Proactiv+ routine daily at night on all areas of my face except the scars as I'm nervous they could have been hindering the healing process/contributing. And after I wash my face I put polysporin(similar to neosporin) on the areas and every other day or so put Aloe Vera Gel on them for 30 minutes and then wipe off. I also have a diet free of gluten, dairy, and virtually no refined sugar. I take a multivitamin everyday as well as just recently taking extra Vitamin C and A supplements to add to the multivitamin.

My scars are relatively shallow, most a little less than half a millimeter, and none bigger than half a centimeter and are probably considered boxcar scars (I don't have the means of taking a photo right now). They are still reddish/pink and I am hoping there is something I can do to assist in healing and collagen production in the initial healing (like Vitamin C oil, copper peptides, HA?)! I'm aware that most talked about treatments on here are for scars that have fully matured, but I remember reading about a member who used copper peptides on new scars and had great success. I'm open to any solutions or recommendations! If I can take advantage of time I would like to!
Thank You!

I would have to see a pic of the scars to offer proper recommendation. Most people have hyperpigmentation or big pores not acne scaring.

For fresh scars ematrix has been shown effective but this might be to strong for you.

For Hyperpigmentation the treatments are under PIE and PIH, in the skin section of the faq. This is what most people have, redness "fresh acne effects" these are notscars but wounds.

Microneedle is good for those with minor scars.

More information can be found in my signature below called faq under the skin section, microneedle.
