Ive been doing this for a week now (not the egg part) and i noticed big improvement. I think the egg mask help speed up the recovery time but the Apple cider vinegar does most of the work. I have red mark on my back, and most of them look alot less red , more like a soft pink colour. (I never used teh egg mask so i know is the acv)

Plus i had 2 new big ass suckers On my should blade area when i started and they cleared up faster than any thing ive ever tried before. the red marks left over frome them r more faded then some of the red marks ive had for a couple months. there still there but they'll be gone in a couple more days.

1. Mix a small shot of water with baking soda and a squirt of cetiphil mild skin cleanser.

2. rub GENTLTY on your skin and rince(just like you normally would to clean your face regularly)

3 Dry off, maybee wait 5 min , then apply ACV(Usually dilute it with a lil water, SAY 2parts water 1 part ACV)_ with a cotton ball let dry.

4. Apply some moisturizer Other wise my skin get a lil too dry and your done

(i suppose u could use bp too but i hate that crap. i think it ruins my skin and make me scar.)

i hope in the next month ill be red mark free  except for any new friends that pop up

i ve also on and off been usind neostrata ultra smoothing lotion 10% glycolic acid off and on but i dont think it doing much.

Ive like that part where your new red marks dissapear at light speed.

well, I've read almost all this thread !

I thought hmm vinager hmm ohh nooo thanks, but after reading and reading I said, let's give it a try

last satudray I tried the bs and the mask, and the mask felt weird but I read how it's supposed to feel

and I wasnt worried.

yesterday I tried the vinager 1:8 and it didn't hurt or sting, I guess today I'll try 1:6 or 7

:)

anyway, I had some whiteheads for a month I think. and I tried scrubbing and they didn't come out!

I was worried, and from the first time i put the bs, they inmediately started to come out!

I have a break out BUT! I think it's because the bs is helping my skin to expell all the whiteheads that clog my pores, so I think it's ok. :)

I'll let you know how everythinh goes

I can't wait for the night!!

oh and I'm trying the vinager on my legs coz I had some zits there and left some marks

a question:

can I leave the vinager all night? just at my legs,

and I'm not using moisturizing, coz here in Mexico it's really hard to find and cheap one, non comedogenic

there is one but costs like $40 dls! so I don't have that money:

is there a problem if I don't moisturize?

I only apply a sunscreen with vitamin E and antioxidant when I go out

thanks:)

my aesthetician is just AWESOME!!! I had gone in for my second Silk Peel and we were talking abt various skin care mistakes for acne-prone skin... she told me that all u need for those red marks to go away is follow these simple rules.

morning...

1) cleanse with a mild cleanser for sensitive skin.

she says the concept of oily skin and using oily skin products for acne is wrong! oily skin products are best tolerated by ppl who have oily skin but free from breakouts. anyone who is doing ANY treatment for acne will have sensitive skin. so hypoallergenic and sensitive skin products are the best bet for them! this is because oily skin products strips of all the oils on skin..so the skin counter-reacts by producing more oil and hence more acne. those with breakout free oily skin...mm...the lucky few..r the only ones to tolerate this..P.Acne bacterium..why do u hate some ppl and leave the others alone??? WHY??? :boohoo:

2) exfoliate

avoid all scrubs..no matter how mild they claim to be. but how do we exfoliate, do u ask??? oh thats easy...and DIRT CHEAP too!!! 2 WORDS- BAKING SODA!

she says that she has not come across any acne-prone patients who has benefitted from scrubs. it may work for a while in some...lead to initial happiness..yeah, and then lead to final gloom when breakouts appear from everywhere...even the areas where it was break-out free in the beginning! SO NO SCRUBS PPL :naughty: .use baking soda instead... just make a paste out of baking soda and water...and massage very gently. wash immediately. u have to do this after cleansing. u may be able to extract some ripe or loose blackheads afterward. hey and never try to squeeze a blackhead if its not ready to come out...u will regret it!

3) tone to balance pH

now that baking soda is basic in nature..something acidic is needed to balance the ph. ANSWER? APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!

use a 1:8 (vinegar:water) solution first and then gradually increase to 1:1 ..never apply it neat. BALANCED pH = BEAUTIFUL SKIN! wash off after 10 mins. dont leave it on.

4) apply ur acne cream..i use the Proactiv BP lotion. i use the amt Dan suggests for beginners...( edit: i switched to Neutrogena on-the-spot now). U can use ANY acne cream which suits ur skin. Dont skip this step.

4) Moisturise with SPF containing moisturiser. I use Cetaphil and it does not break me out. Look for the words sensitive skin, hypoallergenic & non-comedogenic WITH SUN PROTECTION FACTOR when u buy any moisturiser.

5) And for those who apply make-up, use non-acnegenic products containing titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. they r good for the skin too!

evening..

6) cleanse ur face ..( use baking soda and acv only once a day..morning or evening as ur preference)

7) apply a mild protein mask....till date..ive never found a mask that gives as good results as this mask..this is my aesthetician's favourite mask (btw..she has absolutely gorgeous baby-smooth skin and she told me that she had acne in her teens! hard to believe..!)

1 tablespoon of egg-white whipped up + a squeeze of lemon (dont put too much). smooth it over ur face..avoid eye area... wash off in 10 minutes....and look at a NEW REJUVENATED YOU!!

i tried this mask every day for 5 days....its AMAZING...my skin looks so refreshed! And bonus point is that done everyday...this will make the red-spots VANISH!!!

8) Apply ur acne cream before bed.

THATS IT!! JUST 8 STEPS FOR A HUGE BOOST IN YOUR CONFIDENCE!!

I am not kidding...there is a HUGE difference in my red-spots after just 5 days of this routine. I am going to stick to this routine. U guys ABSOLUTELY MUST TRY THIS.....

i will be glad to answer any questions regarding this....

TAKE CARE ALL OF YOU!!

Is this something that could be done while on accutane? If not, how long should one wait after stopping accutane before trying something like this?

citrus fruits??

whats the example??

:P

Try grapefruits maybe? Other than lemons and limes, I can't think of much.

Man, I've been on this for almost 3 weeks and I don't see much improvement. Is it possible that lack of moisturization is the cause? I was thinking about using Eucerin but I don't know if I want urea or Coenzyme Q10...

hi guys,

I'm on accutane but it's a low dose so I feel save to try one or two steps out of this regime. (I know my skin and what about it's able to put up with)

so my question. because of accutane I'm not going to do the soda step but I was wondering...

I got a washgel with ph 5.5 which is basic so this is or supposed to "neutralised" my face everytime I wash it, therefore following up with a veryvery dilluted acv would have about the same effects as neutralising your face with soda and then apply acv? or is this wrong thinking?

what happens if you just put on acv? I know people on this thread do that and tell it's actually increasing the effect...of course that's different with everybody...

well I guess I should have a try, nobody here can tell me what my skin's up to, but how do you guys think about the washgel with ph 5.5 and avc combination?

(I'm interested in the whole thing not because of acne anymore but my complexion is sort of prettyshitty with a few red marks and it's a bit discoloured in the face or let's say, being lighter wouldn't do it any harm and a glow is always welcome! ;) )

good luck anybody who tries this stuff, hope it works for you, it sucks trying out one after the other and nothing works.... :doubt:

Does anyone know how this compares to exfoliation products such as St. Ives Apricot Scrub? I've been doing this for like a month and have not seen much improvement.

Also, how many times should one exfoliate per day? With this regimen and also with other products.

ok guys so here goes my story

some people see results and forget to tell people

wll I'm not like that, I thank people who take the time to

write this topics so we can have our face better, and for free

I mean what did Delna obtained from this? nothing but our deep respect

and thanks,!

well I read almost all the thread, because I wanna make sure that it's safe

coz I am very escpetical with the things I put on my face. I used to try home remedies

but nothing worked. anyway, I read almost all the thread and many many people said it helped them

so much soooooo I said ok, lets try it

the same night I used the baking soda and the mask, coz I didnt have the vinager

(which was the thing I was the most nervous about)

the mask felt the exact way as many of you guys said it should feel, so I was less nervous

the next day I went to the supermarket and bought the vinager, it only costed less than 1 dolar

ok

I tried it at night and wow inmediately I mean inmediately after putting the vinager you see the red things fading

red amrks I've had for more than a year I swear. I used the three things

bs, vingaer, and mask

I had a sort of breakout, but I wouldn't call it that way coz it brought out all the white heads

that had been clogging my pores for weeks, I've used a scrub and that shit doesn't work!

the bs, inmediately started unclogging pores, I was a bit nervous becasue I saw small pimples around my chin but they were alll very old white spots, so I said ok lets wait

it was a very small breakout, it lasted like two days.

after two or three days, I swear red marks lighter but I mean LIGHTER really! my sister was : what have you been doing! I' am traumatized by my face so I alwasy think: my damn red marks are still there damn. iM Always looking at mirrors, well I cant stop looking at mirrors now coz the red amrks are fading away! I swear and after what? a week maybe or less they started to fade.. less than a week.

well after two weeks my grandma came and said your face looks better what have you been doing?

so I explained everything about this forum about, the thread and my dear delna, I have never talked to her but she's officially my dear Delna :P

anyway my grandma told me to write everything i use. she had acne when she was young now not anymore, but she wants something for the pores to be less visible so what better than the egg mask!!!

anyway I've been using this method for three weeks or 4 and my face is I swear

I swear I look at it and I cant believe it! I t looks fresher, normal! thank God

Normal!!!! I'm still having some pimples but they are white heads that are finally going out

so Its ok:P

I am so happy I'll go on

the only problem now is scars.....

damn:P

I'll keep you informed

and try it please!

don't be afraid

I have a very sensitive skin and white skin so I was really worried that this would make my face red. but it didn't at all

I started with 1 spoon of vinager with 8 of water and everyday one spoon of water less

and no problems at all, never felt a sting sensation or burning.

for shaving I use the bs and then my soap and its ok.

what else? what else? hmmmm

ohh yeah

another thing

STOP DRINKING MILK

I drank for breakfast and dinner one glass of milk

I always had small or medium zits everyday

well I stopped milk, no more zits, only the white heads comming out thanks to the bs

damn milk!!!!!!!!

I am so happy now that I for the 1st time met someone:P

coz I feel more secure with my face, people say your problem is not that bad

and it's not really compared to other people, but it's just how we eachone feel with our face

and I had no self-esteem :(

so Please try this it's great

don't spend your money on expensive stuff.

the bp thing I dodnt try it coz Its tooo aggressive with my skin. I just stopped drinking milk

and DRINK HEAPS OF WATER. DO IT!!!!

:)

ohhh and for the guy that asked about the body

I tried it on my legs coz I have small red marks but only the vinager and it helped a bit

not much maybe because Im not using the mask on my legs.

So, try this :)

Oh btw I'm mexican sorry if you didn't understand something or the grammar :P

english is not my first language:P

P.S 18 days with this :P today it's the nineteenth day

and how long do we exfoliate with BS? i did just about 30sec.

my face has been clean since morning and i am looking forward to good results..
