Hi guys,

Thanks for all your PMs...im sorry i cannot answer all of them personally. I did answer a few of the urgent ones today..hope I could be of some help. For the others, I will try to answer a few questions which are being repeatedly asked.

-DOES ACV MAKE YOUR FACE WHITER?

NO, NO and NO!!!! It will fade your scars thus making your skin look lighter and brighter!! Dont worry, you are not going to look like a ghost!! wink.gif

- HOW LONG SHOULD THE EGG MASK BE LEFT ON?

For as long as it takes to dry on your skin. As soon as you feel it is dry, wash off. Keeping it for 1-4 hrs will do your more harm than good. For gosh's sakes, let your skin breathe!!

- HOW MANY TIMES CAN I DO THIS REGIMEN??

ONCE A DAY ONLY!! I REPEAT..please dont do it more than once a day! Clean it, pamper it and leave it alone. Too much of anything is bad! If your skin feels dry even after you moisturise, you should be less consistent. Do it every other day or every 2 days...find out how your skin works best and make your own skin schedule. If your skin does not feel right one day, dont aggrevate it by any regimen. Leave it alone and then resume when it is normal again.

- VINEGAR SMELLS...YUCK!!

For all those who have extra sensitive noses....please wash off ACV soon after it dries. It will take only 2-3 mins for it to dry. Like i said before, leaving it on without washing is not going to do you more good.

- CAN I USE THIS WHILE ON ACCUTANE?? OR WHILE RECOVERING FROM ACCUTANE?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! YOUR DOCTOR IS THE ONE WHO SHOULD GIVE YOU THE GREEN SIGNAL.... NOT ME, NOT ANYONE IN THIS FORUM.

- CAN I USE THE EGG-WHITE ALONE??

Sure you can!! Whatever works for you!! You neednt follow this regimen to the 'T'....

- IS THIS REGIMEN CAUSING MY WHITE OR RED BUMPS??

Chances are that its not. You acne is an inner problem. It is because your pores are clogged with extra oil that is produced by your over-active sebaceous glands. And many factors can aggrevate it..like unhealthy greasy foods, not drinking enough water, being constipated, etc ..to name a few. But if you really think this regimen is causing your bumps, then it is time to stop and move on to something else. This may not work for everybody.

So keep eating healthy, drink lots of water and do your cleansing routine religiously.. and then see if those bumps go away...CMON, TAKE IT AS A CHALLENGE!!

START TODAY!!

Delna, how often do you do the mask & scrub now that I'm sure your red spots are cleared up? Sorry if you have already answered this question, it looks like you get a lot of repeats.

hi Bobb145,

I do the mask whenever I make eggs biggrin.gif !!! I just keep a little eggwhite aside for my

face!! I do the b.soda wash every other day now as the climate is turning cold and my skin tends to get dry. I use the ACV everyday.

Hi geoff_156,

Good to know you are seeing results! Keep up the good work. As for the mask, I feel too much of anything is bad. I dont think doing it twice will make your skin clear faster simply because there is a limit to which your skin sheds its dead cells and renews itself. It has a defense mechanism of its own. Nothing you do is going to change the genetic make-up of your skin. With any regimen, we are helping to speed up the natural process of your skin renewal just a little. Your skin will never allow a drastic change to happen unless of course, by surgery. Hope that helped.

I wish you all the best with this regimen...please do a lot of research before you proceed with accutane. It has changed people's lives..both for the better and for the worse. ..Your doctor is the best judge to see if your skin is prone to hyperpigmentation.

hey..and thanks for the appreciation smile.gif ...

Hey delna, thanks for sharing your regimen. I have tried this in the summer starting from the beginning to July and I stopped midway between August. I THINK that it has worked to a certain degree, but I guess I didn't see significant changes. Was it because I didn't use the BS and ACV? I used regular white vinegar occasionally with BS. My regimen throughout the summer was simple, I never put anything on in the morning, only at night and I alternated between BP and Retin A (instructions of doctor)

1. cleanse -> egg mask -> retin a -> sleep

next evening

2. clease -> egg mask -> bp -> sleep

alternates back to step 1

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. As for the egg mask, is the lemon absolutely needed? I don't have any lemons right now. It seems more efficient to simply buy lemon juice and just use that. What would you recommend, lemon juice or fresh squeezed lemon? Thanks in advance!

I started the ACV/BS regimine last night. When I put the ACV on, there was some slight stinging (as to be expected). When I did it again tonight, there was none. I was a bit suprised. Should there be? It isn't time to bump up the ACV/water ratio yet is it?

Hey I've been doing this treatment for about a week. I do everything at night like this: cleanse, baking soda, acv, egg mask, then I use my differen gel. I have a few active spots but not many. Though I have noticed positive results in the fading of red marks I just looked in the mirror and to my chagrin noticed that one of my cheeks looked more red than usual. Upon closer inspection I noticed what look like very small bumbs that are reddish. There are quite a few and they are very small.

Could someone please advise if you are familiar with this reaction or know how to solve this problem. Has this issue been brought up previously in the thread? Delna please advise. Thank you.

I stopped doing the baking soda and the little bumps disappeared, which is awesome...I am doing the egg mask and my skin looks pretty good. I added a little salt to the mask and found it helps.

hello all, I have been what you can call the 'Silent Supporter' in all of this. I have been reading many message boards and finally decided to try delena's regime. I dont know why, but I think the fact that it was based on everything natural. Anyway, let me start by giving you my story.

I am 25 yrs old, and all throughout highschool/college I had normal skin. Then just about 2 yrs ago, I got what you can label as 'adult acne'. This was the most traumatizing experience of my life. I even went to a derm and he did the usual of we need to put you on antibiotics. I took those for a while, but used the DUAC and Differen creams more. They seem to be under control, but I always had atleast one pimple on my face (a big one!) at any given time.

Recently, the problem came back and I didnt know if I was allergic to my maekup or what it was. Then Delena, I came across your post and I decided to give it a shot. (THANK YOU SO MUCH) I also changed my entire makeup line. So far, I have been PIMPLE FREE for a good two weeks!! I know that doesnt seem like a long time, but for those who have pimples, know what I am feeling. I would like to share my combination with you all, it may work for some, not for others, but for that 1 or 2 people it can help, it is worth it!! This is a combination of differnt things, but it has worked for me:

Morning:

1. Wash face (neutrogena acne face wash)

2. Use BS to cleanse face

3. ACV + water (leave for 5-10 minutes)

4. Cetaphil Lotion

Makeup:

I was using MAC and Bobbi Brown and now have changed completly to Laura Mericer.

Night:

1. Wash face (neutrogena acne face wash)

2. Egg+ Lemon Mask (I did this every day, but now do this every other day)

Towels:

I dont know how much this helps, but I have a completly differnt towel that no one touches (even me if my hands are dirty) for my face only!! I have a seprate towel for the rest of me when I come out of the shower.

Notes:

When I had pimples, to speed up the healing process I used neosporin on them instead of differn or duac. I noticed that they came to head quicker. Also, pls remember, sometimes things have to get worse, before they get better. Initially when I started this regime, I was still getting some scary pimples, and I was very concerned. They were big and they hurt!! However, I just stuck thru, put neosporin on them, and now my face is pimple free:)

Regards,

~Pastelle22

I have been using a similar egg mask but have been adding garlic. Marks are fading but best of all the small bumps on my chin are gone.

I gave half of my last batch to a friend of mine and over a period of about 5 days her bumps went down from about 15-20 to 5. Great stuff. I am thinking of adding a small amount of dissolved aspirin or possible salt next time.

bcdg, lemon juice is fine even though nothings ever gonna replace freshly squeezed lemon! Look for unsweetened.if you are buying the concentrate, be sure to dilute it.

seanryann, if you are ok after a few applications, i wd suggest to increase the ratio...go ahead and try it. But increase gradually!

todaysdate, when you find your skin irritated, thats when you shd STOP ALL regimens...just cleanse and use sunscreen for 2 days till it clears..then u can start again. Also, please be gentle with b.soda...dont scurb too hard..and always dilute ACV. Its likely that your skin is sensitive, so try doing this every other day or every 2 days and see what works! Good luck!

pastelle22, GOOD JOB!! eusa_clap.gif

hi, delna. i just have a few questions. please forgive me if they've been answered before...

1) can i use regular distilled white vinegar instead of acv? Do they sell acv at regular supermarkets?

2) what do you think of the baking soda method where you let it dry for 15 minutes and wash it off (kinda like a mask) because your bs method is very different (i must try it! eusa_dance.gif )

btw i completely agree with you about not overdoing it. letting your skin rest and heal is very important!

thanks, delna wink.gif
