One word: WOW! This really does work. After just one day of using baking soda/water to exfoliate, apple cider vinnegar to tone, and egg white/lemon to tighten, my skin feels like a million dollars. And this is just the beginning...

Delna: Thankyou! Where do I send the cheque? wink.gif

I'm hoping that I will have flawless skin in 2 weeks, with the help of a mild cleanser, and Tiramisu's "facial steam."

Ciao.

damn i just did the mornign thing and its great. The baking soda is great and all but i dnt hav acv so i used regular white distilled vinagar. diluted it and put it on. shit it stung like hell. 30 secs later it got in my eyes. i washed it out and felt my skin. i couldnt beleve it. the dry patches are soft now. Is the type of vinagar ok to use? I was anxious to try the egg white thing but i chickened out right before i put it on my face. Does it have bacteria on it. Im scared ill get flesh eating bacteria. Also, i have alot of scars on my arm from misquito bites. would this techniques bee benificial on it?

hayan, I am using the regimen for pimples and the instructions on this thread for red marks. I have about 2 very small pimples at the moment... actually they are more like clogged pores

I have the egg-white mask on right now and it feels weird. I think people that inject botox in their faces experience the same kinda sensation. haha

Hey all - just a quick, happy, clear update!

My red marks are continually fading with Delna's incredible regimen. The baking soda feels so good and smooths my skin so remarkably (I pour a little bit in my palm and pour some Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser on it and mix them up with my finger then wash with it like normal), and vinegar has awesome healing powers and really works, and the MASK.. oohh man, the mask is my hero! It totally rejuvenates my skin and leaves it fresh, smooth and much less red.. the skin tone is more even and healthy looking.

Now, I know it's a pain to do it all every night, but its worth it. I encourage everyone trying this for the first time to stick with it, be patient, and dont forget to include whatever anti-acne cream works for you (this regimen is for red marks, not preventing fresh zits from forming). I usually read, go online, watch TV, do homework or put away laundry when I'm waiting in between steps (I am still on Dan's wonderful Clear Skin Regimen also.. clearing up more each day).

My favorite part of this regimen is the fact that, not only does it fade stubborn year-old red marks, but the red marks left from the odd fresh zit fades in a matter of a couple weeks, instead of months or even years! So clearer skin is that much more attainable.

Thanks again Delna (and everyone for your advice/suggestions on these boards, none the least being Dan!)

Delna's regimen caused a few breakouts on me--I don't know if it's timing (the areas I broke out seem to periodically break lut right there), but I've stopped this regimen for now, and my breakout stopped as well.

Perhaps this isn't for everyone.

I just had a few quick questions

#1 could i use lemon juice instead of a fresh squeezed lemon?

#2 could i buy a dozen eggs and put all the eggwhites in a ziplock container and add the lemon juice? this way i could have mask pre-made for the whole week, or do i have to crack the egg and mix the mask right when i'm going to do it?

thank you so much!!

I got off of accutane two-three months ago, and FINALLY have ACNE FREE SKIN!! for the first time since i was 10 years old!!!

(I'm 15 now)

i'm thrilled that i no longer have those hideous, embarrassing cystic lesions that ive had to deal with since 5th grade! (yuck)

but, even though i'm grateful and don't take my clear skin for granted, i'm still embarrassed by the red marks all over my cheeks and chin!!

so, i came upon this site, and found this, 4 days ago!

and RIGHT AWAY, as soon as i read it, i went and cracked an egg! even though it seemd really GROSS, and slimy, I was soo desparate that at that point i would have done ANYTHING. so anyway, i've been doing the egg white mask for 4 days, and the whole Baking Soda/ACV regiman for 2 days (I had to go buy the ingredients, haha)

and let me just say, my family thinks i'm CRAZY.

even though my acne is GENETIC, and my older siblings have been through the EXTREMELY SEVERE ideal, (seriously, you dont know severe till you've seen my family album! haha, jk) they still think i'm crazy! by smearing all those weird kitchen products on my face, haha. but they understand where i'm coming from, because when you have severe acne/red marks for years, you'll try ANYTHING. and i mean ANYTHING.

for example, when i first started accutane, i spent 40 bucks on SNAILS CREAM! (you know the slimy residue snails leave behind them when they crawl? well thats what Elicina is, in cream form. yuck) just because a friend of mine told me it faded her marks before i met her. haha. it didn't even work!! sad.gif

but i have faith in this regiman! my face already feels SOOO SMOOTH and SOO SOFT! and its glowing, i look so healthy now! and im not sure, but i think the marks are already fading!

so, THANK YOU DELNA!!! YOU ARE LOVED! biggrin.gif

oh yeah, and i must add..

PLEASE, ALL ACCUTANE USERS, DO NOT USE THIS REGIMAN UNTIL AT LEAST A MONTH AFTER YOUR TREATMENT!!!

PLEASE! on accutane, your skin is shedding at a rapid rate! your skin is VERY VERY THIN! that means NO EXFOLIATING, and NO ACIDIC PRODUCTS!!

so, NO BAKING SODA, NO VINEGAR, AND NO LEMONS! very very important!

your red marks will be MUCH redder on accutane, because your skin is turning over at a very rapid rate. accutane is an EXTREMELY harsh drug and should be respected, so please don't do ANYTHING with your face right now, except wash it with a mild cleanser! if your dermatologist is remotely credible, s/he will tell you that you should NEVER exfoliate on accutane, or put anything on your face other than cleanser and moisturizer, for that matter.

i just wanted to put my two cents in, because i noticed a lot of questions on this topic and not many clear answers.

I eat eggs every morning.

I'm going to just start dabbing my finger in and applying it only to my two red marks.

Why not?

OMG! I have been following this regimen religiously for the last two and a half weeks, and I must say that I have seen drastic improvement in my facial skin's appearance since I started. biggrin.gif

Firstly, thanks to Dan for your superb BP Gel eusa_clap.gif ...it really does help to control acne breakouts and when breakouts do occur, the spots disappear a helluva lot faster. I was using Differin cream bfeore, and it did absolutely nothing for me!!! Shows how much those over qualified quacks know. confused.gif The BP does have my face a tad drier than normal though, but heck, I choose dry skin over acne and PIH anyday.

Delna, kudos to you GF wub.gif ...i don't know if it's the bs/acv or the eggwhite/lemon juice mask, but my marks (brown marks though cause I'm an Asian/African mix) have been fading dramatically since I started this regimen. I don't wear much make-up, just moisturizer and a lightly tinted facial powder, but my marks are much less obvious now than they were before and I shall be forever thankful and in your debt. And this regimen is dog cheap and the items are so readily available.

And, I have never been one to follow a routine for very long...I get bored and frustrated very easily eusa_wall.gif ...but this has been working so wondrously for me that I almost look froward to following all the steps on a daily basis. And the egg white mask...ohhh, heaven...it leaves my skin feeling so fresh and smooth afterwards.

Anyway...I've gone on long enough. Once again, thanks you guys. If I could hug and kiss you, I would!!! wub.gif

AAAHi,

IAaave been doing the regimen for 2 days, but I have been using baking powder and not baking soda (IAaam going to start using it tomorrow) I think that the regimen helping, but it might just be wishful thinking. But I do have 3 new whiteheads!

I have some questions about the regimen

1.) Do you only put the acne cream on at night?

2.) Can I Moisturize morning and night with aloe vera gel?

3.) If the egg mask makes your pores small is it going to be hared it get out blackheads?

4.) When I wash my face I use hot water to make my pores big to help clean them out. So when should I use cold water to make them small? For example at night after I wash off the mask should I use cold water then, or after I put on my acne gel?

Thanks a million!

Olivia
