Just to let everyone know, I am no longer using Baking Soda.. only the ACV and the results are EVEN better.
The baking soda was irritating the skin, and after a month of not getting any results I stopped using the baking soda and switched to only using ACV.
The results are astounding and my marks are 98% gone, try it.
I use the egg mask 2 times a week and that seems to remove any dead skin that the baking soda removes.
hey, just a few questions for you delna regiment ppl out there...i'm guessing that someone may have asked these questions already, but i gave up trying to go through all the pages.....
first, how much baking soda do you mix the water with?
have you noticed one brand of baking soda that works better than others?
in what section of the grocery store can i get apple cider vinegar at?
is one brand of acv better than others?
and do you need to use the egg mask? i think i'd like to try everything except for the mask, sounds like a lot of work.
please let me know! thanks!
wow, another change in my regimen because i just went to my dermatologist.
Ok, he put me on Tazorac in the morning and some other gel in the evening which i havnt heard of (and they didnt have it at the pharmacy, ittl be in tommorow)
So you think I should drop the B.S and ACV all together... Is it still OK to do the Egg White mask or no?
~Poi
xx~annie~xx - just mix the egg off with water, and yes, it makes your skin tight.
Poi - I remember Tazorac causing me a lot of redness. You will have to see for yourself how you react, just be cautious and don't scrub hard at all. I find especially the egg mask to be nourishing, but for others it may not be so.
brizzle - mix enough water with the BS to form a rather thick paste. Have you ever mixed mortar? About like that. Not much water at all though; it is really easy to make it too runny.
I just use the cheapest BS, if a certain brand does work better, someone needs to post that.
ACV should be... around the other vinegars. Ask someone where the ACV is and they should point you to it. I don't know what the section would be called, and all stores are different anyways. As far as the brand goes, I actually prefer to use an organic brand. If you are drinking it, it will taste better and less "acidy", but it is probably better for you than the other stuff.
Go ahead with the egg. It does sound like a lot of work, but it isn't. Just crack an egg white into a little closable container, mix in a dash of lemon, and you are set for about a week (keep the egg in the fridge of course). I find the egg to be quite beneficial, so I would discourage people from skimping on it, but if you can only do it once a week or something, that is better than nothing I suppose.
All the stores I've shopped at have the ACV (and all the vinegars) with the salad dressings, ketchup, etc., which is usually also the condiment (pickles, olives, etc) aisle.
I am beginning to believe that the cheap ACV I bought is distilled, although it doesn't say so. I guess it's off to the health food store to do a recon on some natural ACV!

Is Sunprotectionfactor (SPF) 8 to little?
I'm thinking of Zirh Protect
It depends how sensitive your skin is. If you aren't out in the sun too often, go ahead and try it. I am just in the sun typically from my car to work/classes, but if you are going for a jog in the sun, you might want to think about additional protection. It looks like a nice product, so try it out and let us know.
Hey Masterbrownie;
I used the whole regimen on my daughters back last nite. I want to see how it works on the back before we try it on the face. She has red marks from bacne. I noticed this morning that she had no breakouts and it looked like it helped old acne dry up more. I was pretty impressed. I also noticed her back did seem very dry, which to us,is a good thing. We did not use any moisturizer after just clindamycin Phosphate foam (to kill bateria) and some SA body lotion. As for the red marks they looked a little less red. We will do it again tonight (on back). I really liked the fact that is tends to dry up the back. If it gets too drying I will go every other nite. Another thing about the egg mask, I would NOT use the yolk, just the white with the fresh lemon juice. Especially if one has oily skin.
Every day I used to do an egg yolk and lemon juice mask (left on about half an hour). Then I would put the egg white on (yes goes itchy and tight and dries fast and I am not gonna even say what it looks and kinda smells like) and leave that on overnight.
It was a fair amount of hassle but my skin was very soft and glowing. I don't recall it ever doing anything for my red marks (I did it every day for at least a month or two). This is going back a few years now. I think I stopped cos it was a hassle etc.
I did apple cider vinegar every day for some months, not sure that ever did a great deal for my red marks either. The bentonite clay and vinegar face mask was nice for leaving skin soft and clean feeling, quite hardcore tho when the vinegar gets drawn deep into your skin.
Maybe my red marks are more stubbon than most peoples?? I have very pale skin and they tend to stay very prominent for some years, and take 5+ years to be nearly gone.
