Hey all, I have been wanting to try either single needling or dermastamping on some shallow scars. The problem is I can't seem to find any place to actually buy single needles. Owndoc has them but they say there is no guarantee that they are any good because the supplier screwed up while making them and they aren't getting any new ones. So my question is, what kind of needles do you guys use to single needle?? I don't want to use something that could cause damage or anything. I just really can't figure out what my options are besides giving the possibly defective owndoc needles a try, and I keep hearing single needling is the best for icepicks. And if there isn't anything safe to use for single needling, would using a dermastamp be helpful to very small shallow icepick scars? Thanks!!
Thanks! yeah they are pretty cheap so it wouldn't hurt to try I suppose. I read on forums that people have had success with icepick scars using single needling. Not sure if it would help me or not but I may as well give it a try I do want to order a dermastamp anyway for a couple bigger scars, so I may just order a couple sets of the single needles with it. sigh...scars suck!
OK, here's a question. I have read of people using diabetic insulin syringes to needle....but what about the lancets that you use to prick your finger to test blood sugar? I have a box of the ultra thin ones that I use to lance pimples (yeah yeah popping is bad, I know) but would they be suitable for needling or would that cause more harm than good? I have never gotten a scar or anything as a result of lancing zits with the lancets. Anyone have any experience with this or would I be crazy to try it?
