It could be a mix of scarring and red marks/hyperpigmentation (PIH) from old acne, hard to tell. PIH does fade on its own with time and patience but if you want to speed up the process, the Acne.Org AHA+ works great for fading post-acne PIH. My son has been using it on his face for several months and the PIH on his forehead is completely gone to where you can't even tell he had acne here, and the PIH on his cheeks is slowly fading as well.
