Hi everyone

Before anyone says it- I KNOW my skin isn't really terrible. I don't have bad acne but I had really clear skin all through my teens (now 21) and a year ago my skin just became like this. It's not acne, it's just really sort of bumpy and almost speckled (can't really think how to describe it.) Make up never goes on smoothly and it just looks patchy and weird. Does anyone have skin like this or can anyone suggest ways to approve it? It is really bringing me down and in daylight I just have no confidence. Also I don't think these really show how bad it is as my camera's HD feature isn't working :S

Have you tried something with glycolic acid? I have similar type skin and I've been using Neostrata's glycolic renewal 10% smoothing lotion but if you've never used it before you would start out with the 5%. I'm actually going to switch to a brand called Alpha Hydrox and use their oil free 10% treatment because I don't like the huge list of ingredients in Neostrata's. But it will help speed up skin cell turnover which smooths skin texture and helps with enlarged pores. They also make it in a cream if your skin is dry but I have oily skin so I use the lotion. Here are it's claims http://neostrata.ca/products/-category/exfoliating/glycolic-renewal-smoothing-cream-5/180/ I am in Canada so I think the US products are a little different.

For make up I use a primer before anything and that smooths the surface.

Really though, you have nice skin.

Your skin looks really nice to me! I'd try starting with lighter peels like glycolic and work your way up to TCA peels.
