Yes excision can be done for icepick and boxcar scar. I'm based in Indonesia, it's an International Hospital. Well, I think it's better if you could find local surgeon in your country. I trust my surgeon, he gave me hope, he's like fairy good mother for me, lol!

hey hope01, i also am in the uk looking for a plastic surgeon for excision, I saw a youtube video of aurora clinics based in northampton that seem from the video i watched do excision, I have emailed them asking whether they do scalpel excision and costs, will let you know what their response is.
Poppy, you might want to try massaging your scars vigorously, back and forth. It is said to help stimulate collagen production in the skin, thus regenerating new skin cells.
i tried it personally and I guess i an seeing significant results. I am on day 1.
Thanks for the info..
I've been massaging my surgery scar, it works with new scar cause still in healing process. I'll keep massaging my scar!
thanks for your response poppy, i was wondering now how your progress is.

I would say the scars improved, redness almost fade, stitches mark become softer and some of them gone. For upcoming excision I'll have stitches take out at day 5 so it'll prevent any stitches mark, it really depend on ur skin healing ability, if you can get spot test, excised 1 scar to see how it heal. I hope you'll find a good surgeon to do excision, it really depend on surgeon skill and after care. Good luck!
thank you so much poppy, I am so glad you are providing us all updates as alot of times i have looked through other threads people start and for some reason they sometimes stop giving an update so it is harder for other people then to know if the procedure paid off, so once again thank you.
im sure the redness should be gone completely within a few months time, im a guy and dont wear makeup but since you are a girl have you put makeup on and see what it looks like?

Hope01- I would not recommend excision or subcision for small icepick scars, they tend to be difficult to excise and then suture properly. TCA CROSS or CO2 laser would be a better option.
Guys do you have any idea how to treat an indented nose scar?

lenar, it really depends how deep the indented scar is, you have quite a few options, but the nose area is more delicate, i think you should consult a plastic surgeon, from the picture you posted it doesnt look bad, and since its only one scar have you thought about using dermaflage to fill it.
Dermaflage? Not yet. Not familiar actually. I have tried almost every natural cures. Nothing worked. But i think i would give water fasting a try. I read that duffq and iamthat healed their scarring by water fasting. The longedt fast was 36. Duffq finished it by 10 days. I am gonna try only 7 days i guess. If you are interested or anyone on this thread please let me know. I will also keep you posted. Im starting the fast by sinday. You might like to join me as well.

hey poppy, hows your healing going along, is the track marks invisible now?
Hey attwater20,
I'm back! Sorry for slow response, been really busy lately
Those track marks are hardly noticeable now but still have some redness, I tried turmeric and aloe vera mask, will see how it goes, finger crossed!
Recently, I've been doing needling in some scars that didn't get excise, I think it work, some indentation now become more like a linear scars and some level up with the rest of skin, will see the result a month from now. If it worked then I wouldn't need 2nd excision and just get dermabrasion straight away.
How did it go with your consultation?
