You can always get tca cross .... also there is a treatment called recell spray on skin which treats all types of scarring ( white scars , atrophic scars , hypertophic scars ) there's also pixel laser ( ebrium yag laser ) so i wouldn't worry too much ... hey i have scarring on my nose far worse then yours ( on the tip ! )
I've had dermabrasion done in September. For me it unfortunately didn't work.It didn't improve my scarring at all.
There is a risk of additional scarring with dermabrasion, but I think that risk is small. It didn't happen to me, but my skin was pink for a couple of months.
I'm from europe so the cost was 1500 euros, which is around 2000$ .A lot of money, especially considering that it didn't work.
I definitely wouldn't recommend dermabrasion (or any kind of laser) for treating just one scar. It's not worth it.
Sorry if this was negative but I think there are better options out there for people with just one scar. You should maybe send this photo to a plastic surgeon to ask his opinion. Then if he wants you to have lasers/dermabrasion done, in your case, he's only in it for the money, IMO.
Good luck!
Really? That's disappointing to hear.
The picture doesn't do the scar justice because it's deep and bright red, I have to use concealer on it every day.
Do you think TCA could work? I've used 100% glycolic acid on it twice, it simply formed a scab which fell off, leaving it the same as before.
I think the issue is that with the nose you only have a thin layer of skin .... the best bet is to go for a filler injection .... silicone would be an option ... however it could leave a nodule which would be worse in my opinion .... i think tca cross .... followed by a abrasive laser would help ....

good doctor with high experience in treating scars and has good skills in injecting filler, i think it will be safe , yes you are right< silicone filler has bad side effect , something like hyaluronic acid would be more better and safe ,,, tca cross can achieve good results but sometimes can worse scar and make it look more wide and deep "atrophy" and also can cause hypo pigmentation with darker skin types

That's right , you are correct on that one !
longtermsufferer, I've had regular tca peels done and while I think they're good for texture/pigmentation issues, I don't believe it helps with indentations.
If you were referring to tca cross, this scar to me doesn't look like the type that would respond best to cross method, which is usually used to treat ice picks.
I think subcision with fillers should help a lot in your case.
