Okay so I have red marks and really really shallow ace scars on both sides of my cheeks. I was wondering what I can do to help get rid of them? Someone experienced help please.. There's pictures below to help... It seriously sucks being a perfectionist and having this fucking disease... It just depresses me to look at face now sometimes because it used to be so clear. :( Then I got a small gash on my forehead(not big) Okay. I sound like an idiot.. Ah.. Anyway.. Help anyone?

Thank you if you do help

You still have active acne. The first thing to do is get your acne under control. It's hard to tell what is a scar and what is active acne in your photos. Redness is inflammation, and as long as that skin is inflamed, some of the treatments they discuss in this forum (subcision, dermarolling, etc) will just make things worse IMO.

Ah.. Okay. :( Well I'll tell you this for sure, almost all those red marks are hyper pigmentation marks man. I do have active acne at the moment but it's not as bad as it was. This just kills me because I had a clear face when I was like 15. Now that I'm 16, I'm having these horrible break outs.. It really brings my sad esteem down .. You know? I wish it would go away completely already and that way I'll have am easy time dealing wit these red marks. It sucks to have active acne on plus red marks to go with it. It makes my face look all messy.. I admit that I haven't exactly been doing my best I clean my face. I've been skipping a mining or two and I haven't exactly been following an exact regimen. Here's another thing, to make matters worse, I have a damn scar on my forehead, a mild gash from a bat. I hate it man. Anyway, yea. Thanks for at least replying to me. You're the only person who took time to reply, and I do appreciate it.

Hey there,

You don't sound like an idiot at all. Its completely reasonable for someone to have low self esteem or feel depressed from acne, it happens to everyone. I would strongly recommend getting started on a regimen. Benzoyl peroxide creams and over the counter salicylic acid works well for mild acne. If that does not work I would visit your local derm. Theres no telling how long your acne will last and if uncontrolled could lead to scarring far worse than your very mild current scarring. Once your acne is under control there are a variety of methods to treat your scarring including laser therapy or subcision. The hyperpigmentation you have will fade in time, and there are product such as hydroquinone that can help expedite the process.

Good luck.

Aren't you technically still growing at 16? It's most likely your raging hormones that are the cause of your grief. I would first suggest avoiding things that might upset the hormonal balance, you know like, uhmm, masturbation and the like. Sorry, I just couldn't resist. :)

Anyway, one real good product that I can't recommend enough is DMSO, which you can find on eBay. You can Google for more info but this thing really rocks. Just slap it on your face overnight and most of the zits will be gone by the morning. For very stubborn ones like cysts, continue applying DMSO throughout the day.

It's clearing up a little.. I have really mild type acne, it's somewhat moderate, but not HORRIBLE.. i just hope it doesn't develop into cystic acne..Anyway.. yea.. with the scars i have.. There's treatments out there that make them pretty much disappear off my face.
