Anabil,
Well, even if i wanted to have sandalwood, there is none here in my area. Yea i went to the scar forum and looked at a lot of pics. No one really described a deep scar vs a shallow one. I remember reading someone said " a deep scar is when the hole has enough space for a cockroach to leave eggs on". If i do follow that idea, it must be... umm. i can't even described it. LOlz hhahah.
Pls pls do take picture of your individual scar( one deep, one shallow) But only if you are comfortable with it.
I would appreciate it so much!
yes,i will do that and let u know.
also,i will some search and gve as much details i can.
i'll just ask for some time.
cheers.
Sure i dont mind waiting..
My skin is getting better anyways.
No pimples have formed for the past 4 days! Its a new record!
Hope i didnt jinx it.
But anyways, i appreciate your cooperation a lot. Good luck to all of us!
Hi AghhNe. There is quite a bit of new science about the health benefits of fasting once a week, or eating only 600 calories two days a week as a near-fasting diet.
Michael Mosley, as interviewer and test-subject, made a BBC Horizon show last year, which was rebroadcast in the US on PBS, Nova and Nature TV channels in April, 2013. I watched all three hours and it was very interesting.
Maybe it will be rebroadcast or you can find it on YouTube. I couldn't find a streaming video of it just now, but here's a summary: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news/2013/03/27/health-diet-and-exercise-focused-science-series-comes-to-pbs-exploration-wednesdays-april-3-17-997202/20130327pbs01/

Wow. Great info you got there. Thank you so much for sharing this!
I am definitely convinced that i am gonna fast although just alternately or atleast for 1 week.
Gosh im so excited for my exams to finish so I can test this!
I found interesting articles!
http://www.emel.com/article?id=61&a_id=1405 This article says that during fasting detoxification speeds up as the toxins stored in the fat is broken down. It also says that`` Fasting allows the body to tap its resources to their fullest potential and focus on rebuilding from a microscopic level as DNA and RNA genetic controls become more efficient in transcribing the proteins and tissues the body needs. This revamped protein synthesis results in healthier cells, tissues and organs. `` The digestive system, which is very often overloaded, and ceaselessly put to work, also cleanses itself for more efficient digestion and nutrient absorption``
http://drbenkim.com/fasting.html Here, it states some of the benefits of fasting.
Oh and i read one interesting thing last night. A girl who fasted for 7 days said that if you fast for 4-7 days, green smoothies, vegetables, fruits, all of that things will taste DELICIOUS! She also said that the processed stuff will be disgusting to you and most likely avoid it. The explanation is that before the fast, if you have been eating junk foods, the mind will think that it needs it. So if you fast long enough, it changes your mind as well and renews it. I`m sorry but i forgot what website it is. I actually tried searching for it again this morning but to no avail i have failed.
ALso a warning. Fasting for longer than 5 days is when risk starts to accumulate. Though not much during a week fast but after 13 days of fasting you MUST be careful because you are subject to REFEEDING SYNDROME! This may cause death! That`s why I am NEVER gonna fast for more than a week unless i am being supervised by a doctor.
Here is an article about refeeding syndrome http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2440847/
This one too is interesting http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC390152/
Prisoners in world war 2 who were starved for a month or more then ate a lot DIED. You can read it in the article i think.
Oh and one more thing!
THE FIRST DAY OF FASTING is the HARDEST since the body will keep signalling you to eat. You will be hungry and crave food! Believe me, i have done 36 hours of fasting as of now. The first 24 hours was sooooooo tempting gosh. I even ate 3 small sticks of bread but i doubt that has any effects since it is quite small. But after the 1st day, your body will no longer signal you to look for food since it is preparing to change its energy source.
