I was wondering, is it safe to get one's wisdom teeth removed while on Accutane? I've been on Accutane for 2 weeks now, and I've been taking 30 mg a day. My wisdom teeth haven't come through yet, but I wanted to get them removed early, maybe in 3-5 weeks from now? By then, my doctor will up my dosage to 60 mg a day. So I'm wondering should I wait, and is it even safe?

Not sure, its a good question though. Why dont you ask your doctor and dentist, they should give you a good answer.

U should stop taking Accutane if u want to undergo any surgeries since it makes wounds heal differently.

But always consult your dermatologist to see if there's any ways to work around it. :)

Had it done while on accutane, no problems at all - it was mid way through the cycle. The oral surgeon knew, of course - you should advise yours as well. And two of mine were impacted and literally needed to be cut out - the other two were pulled. No problems, but as we know, everyone reacts differently to everything, so please consult with your doctor.

Good luck, and hope you took a couple of days off to just rest and get through the puffy cheek phase.
