Sorry I can't help you, although I think it would be weird if he didn't agree to treat you. Or are you seeing him for some other reason than scarring?
If you get the chance to ask him lots of questions, then I'd be interested to know whether he thinks subcision on shallow rolling scars is effective, or if it just works on deeper scarring. Thanks
Topic. I have an appointment with him so if any of you have questions I can ask on your behalf. But im not sure if he will be willing to do subcision, needling and TCA cross for acne scars if im not paying because its through the NHS. Anyone knows?
The NHS policy specifically excludes scar treatments. It really would go bankrupt trying to pay for everybody that has scars.
Doctors aren't going to treat you on the NHS for scars because the NHS won't pay them for it. Doctors also get dinged if they repeatedly attempt to bill for excluded services.
The only time I have heard of them treating scars is if you are a serious burn victim and your skin is literally falling off. Not for acne scars. No matter how much it "bothers" you.
Hi guys, I've just seen Dr. Chu for a consultation. He recommended Dermapen, subcision, and TCA cross. Anyway, I paid 200 but I'm not sure if that is just for consultation or for all procedures. For those who have seen him, is that just the fee for consultation?
By the way, I was referred by my GP. I'm just hoping I can claim that expense to my BUPA insurance.

The thing that bothers me is the fact that you didn't ask what that $200 charge was for. Everyone should write down a list of questions to ask when heading to a doctor. Anyways, I'm pretty sure $200 does not cover those 3 procedures.
