Went for subcision in Singapore exactly a month ago. At Dr. LL Cheong's clinic. I can say that after treatment the depth of my scars has reduced about 40+%. I have another consultation with my Dr next weekend where she will tell me if I need one more subcision (though she said its unlikely) OR co2 laser.

From having deep acne scars pre-subcision to shallower texture irregularities post-subcision, I now feel more optimistic that fractional co2 will patch up my skin and make it look pretty smooth (-:

hello guys, its been 3 years since i had the acne, and i run out of selevax, been using it for three years, i just bought 5 jars and it lasted for 3 years. it did a great job. and, i will be a medical senior clerk this coming may so im so excited! back to my scars, well if you look closely there are still there but not that obvious like before. the depth did improve so much. i cant give advice like sleep more, have some beauty rest and all of that because i never had those since i studied medicine. i think studying medicine gave me all these, because of the stress. i had acne 4 months after i started the semester. imagine that!

so my advice would be,wash your face with a mild soap, i used cetaphil, and also use moisurizers to keep my skin hydrated. i used selevax intensive scar cream in my case, and i think it help a looooot! and pls pls pls by all means prevent your face from getting more acne. but you cant prevent that all the time, plus i hate going back to accutane. so im using this retinoin toner, and it helped a lot in preventing acne.

so if you have questiions feel free to ask.

Nice thread. I just sent pictures of my scarring to Dr. Yang and he will give me his opinion for free. If he thinks subcision is for me, Im going to take the drive from Philly to New York to meet him.

Forgot about this thread. Subcision really is generally the best treatment. It just doesn't get as much attention because it isn't as sexy as lasers.

Hi everyone, I am from Singapore. I have compared quite a few doctors in Singapore on Subcision. Gone for 5 consulation with 5 different doctors and all offerred me different options for subcision. I.e. subcision alone, subcisionwith skin boosters, subcision with fillers and subcision with fractional laser. I have previously tried chemicalpeels, IPL, ematrix, fractional laser...but all with just minimal improvement (overall just maybe 10- 15% improvement). My face face is already gettingred and sensitive even after 2.5 years of avioding any laser treatment. I am really keen in subcision since it will not burn my skin and cause any further redness (except for the initial recovery period). I tried to search for good review online for doctors in sg but can't find any. Can anyone PM me with good recommendations? Anyone has 19lee's doctor's detail?
🙂

I am 32 year old with acne problem for a long time. Acne had settled down and left me with rolling scars that I have been trying to fight for years. I did microdermabrasion, and two years ago started Fractional Laser CO2 but it did nothing to help with my rolling scars.

Thanks to this community that I begin to relook my options and special mention to Mr. Matt, Greg and many others that took the effort to share their experiences and give hope to many.

I just had my subcision done exactly 2 weeks ago - with suctioning done from the 3rd day till today. Procedure is much the same as what everyone had mentioned, however I didn't have much bruising. It swelled up on the very day, turned slightly purplish the next day and 3rd day onwards was just yellow patches and I was able to see my depressed scars pretty much the same as before. My doctor did mention that the bruising should only be slight. I told him that I often see comments that the more bruises you see the better it is. However he said that some bruises are bad because it is 'overdone' Well I hope so and shall wait and see, since it has just been two weeks and hopefully the work of the collagen does it job soon. Once in a while I did feel some aching/throbbing reaction.

During these two weeks, I have also been applying vit c serum once to twice a day, unfortunately it gave me some rashes - Doc says it is because it is drying out my skin. Now I am not sure if I should continue this. Additionally, I am also taking Meiji Amino Collagen Supplement.

Will be updating this post again on the outcome to share with all my experience in this long journey that I will continue to fight. And to everyone who is in this journey too, don't give up!

Did 19lee use suctioning instead of filler?

:)

it is hard to find a doctor in Singapore that does subcision because its very time consuming.
But from doctorXdentist, I found a few places.

Dr Winston lee - fillers +subcision
the chelsea clinic - Dr Mag
lux medical -Dr Kellyn   ($600 for subcision alone, I still considering because 4-6 sessions are needed ...)
