Boxcar Acne Scars

I am brown skin tone with very severe deep boxcar scars on my right cheek and milder on the left cheek.

I have visited dermatologist looking for best treatment for my scars but am really worried of my skin and scars getting worse since my skin in general is very sensitive.

I went for derma filler- restslyane one time and, each time had no improvement what so ever, not even temporary.. it faded in a week or so when the swelling went down. Next time I had subscision followed by Belotero filler, same thing no improvement and my scar were back after the swelling went down.

I visited Dr Dover in Boston, who is very well known in the area, he recommended me Fraxel, it is a huge cost- $1500 per session and I would need atleast 6-7 sessions. Not only money, but I am also worried that I will not see any improvement or worse that my skin/scars will be worse than what they are already.

I am not sure what to do, I have read about Punch techniques but none of the doctors I met have recommended those to me yet. But I think Punch could be successful for me since that really removes the scar by punching or grafting the skin.. but I need some advise....

Really looking for an honest advise.

I hate the way I look. ! Pls help

Read this searching for another topic. I know you posted along time ago, but never do lasers for acne scars. I made the mistake of wasting $ on lasers. Did three treatments of Pearl Fractional when it was the new great thing for acne scars over 5 years ago. Took s week off work each time since I looked like a burn victim. Absolutely no improvement whatsoever. Only thing that helped at all was subcision. Good luck to you!
