Since I wish to have a Laser resurfacing procedure done (Fraxel Repair), I have been tirelessly searching the internet for some non-biased photographs (with somewhat to little success). The pictures that you are about to see are NOT all from people who have had Fraxel Repair in particular, although I do believe a few of them did, but they did have a laser resurfacing procedure non the less. Here are a few that I have found for various acne related skin damages. I would like to hear peoples opinion on the photographs. Let the skepticism begin!
I'd be interested in what the woman in the last picture had done. I have similar scarring which my derm described as "mild with some moderate scarring." He told me I should try a series of Fraxel:restore, but after everything I've read, I really don't think it would be of benefit...
If you want to find websites that host these photos, simply do this:
Save the photo to your computer,
go to google,
to the right of the searchbox there will be a little gray camera,
click on the camera,
choose the "upload an image" option,
then select the image that you saved to you computer.
It should show a few websites where the image is hosted on. Sometimes photos get shared around and posted on other sites as demonstrations. From there you can hopefully find other photos that may help/inspire you aswell.
I will upload my before and afters of my Active FX laser treatment 6 weeks from now. (only left side). The Active FX is not as potent as the Deep FX and Fraxel Repair though so keep that in mind.
6 weeks from now I will have a after picture "Visia" taken again. Visia is a machine you stick your head into that takes a very "detailed" picture of your skin.
Those look like typical laser results. Why sould the skepticism begin?
I'm guessing alot of people viewing these before and afters are going to call "Photoshop" on some of these results (?)
agreed, even though I believe in the power of lasers, some of these pictures (like the 3rd one from the bottom) look to good to be true.
it makes me think, wow can multiple lasers really pull off a miracle?

I prefer to think of that as the 4th one from the top (I am an optimist). LOL That guy has had multiple treatments.

I don't know if I would use the word "miracle" in regard to what lasers are capable of doing to one's scarring and pore size, but based on what I have read and seen, I think they are able to create some beautiful results!
seems like active x is the best thing going huh ? that is the same procedue mrmatt had right?
active fx is good if you are suffering from pigmentation issues because it ablates most of the epidermis, but doesnt help that much with deep scarring.
your gonna need th Deep FX for that one.
but yeah i recommend Active FX for those who are suffering from pigment issus and large pores.
HERE ARE THE PROCEDURES, FROM WHAT I COULD READ ON THE WEBSITES FOR THESE PHOTOGRAPHS.
1st) Fraxel Laser (although not sure if restore or repair, my best guess would be REPAIR)
2nd & 3rd) MaxFX Laser Skin Resurfacing
4th) Co2 Fractional Laser (my guess would be either traditional or Fraxel Repair)
5th) Could Not Find Source
6th) Fractional Co2 Laser (Perhaps, MiXto)
7th) Pixel Co2 Laser
