I am not hijacking threads. I just want my scar to heal. That is also why I am also sharing stuffs i read online bec. I know how it feels to be depressed having scars. I also want to help other people. I am sorry.
Can you stop hijacking threads? Your scar is not even noticeable. Try micro needling, it's cheap and effective.
Hi guys. Especially cherry.
Here is the link. it was originally started by aquasea. She now has a clear skin with no acne scars. No indented scars, no burns, no keloids, just clear skin. I am believing that beta glucan would help us all. It could be found on oat meal. I just tried it, im on my 3rd day. Its doing wonders on my skin.
please read the thread everyone. It wpuld help is all
but what i did is to powderize the oat meal using our blender and added water on it.
Cherry have you ever heard of beta glucan? It is supposed to plump up your indented scars. I thought you mentioned before that you have an indentef nose scar. Did that fill in already? Hope you would share your success with us.
I have never heard of beta glucan. Do you have a link with info about it?
I do have a few indented scars on my nose that look more like large pores. Originally, I wanted them excised or grafted. My cosmetic derm was not comfortable performing those procedures on my nose. She explained to me that the nose heals quite differently than the cheeks, and that any surgeries performed on the nose would be too obvious once they healed. To illustrate this, she pointed out indented, scarred pores on her own nose and asked me if I'd ever noticed them before. I told her no. She replied, "Your nose is the same".
My cosmetic dermatologist was right. I have 2 or 3 scarred pores on my nose that aren't all that noticeable compared to the scarring on my cheeks. Also, the 2 Obagi peels I had did help smooth their appearance.
Also, I could not see the indented scar that you mentioned having on your nose in the pic you included. Do you have a closer/sharper photo?
I will definitely take a look at that thread when I have the time. Maybe later on this week.
So did your indented nose scar heal already? This is the photo. Its deep.

Read the post I wrote about the scarred pores on my nose on June 14th.
Im glad to know your nose scar healed already. Please have time to read the link i mentioned. Your scarring is very minimal and I know you would heal completely. You always looked lovely, even with your minimal scars. anymway here is my nose scar.
Hey there. Did you mean to include a pic in this reply?
Cherry i have read that water fasting is said to heal acne scars. If you do it for like 10 days your indented scars would fill in. It gives your body a break from working and digesting so it focuses on the healing. I might try the fast by sunday. You could come along with me as well. Let me know so we could start together.
Do you have a email? I could send you the pics through email cherry.
Why don't you use the attachment function for your photos when posting replies to this thread?
Or you could PM me here on Acne.org.

I've never heard of such a thing, and I don't understand how something like this would possibly heal acne scars.
Acne scars like mine are already healed skin. They are no longer in the process of repairing themselves. Once my acne dried up and disappeared, the scarred skin that was left healed itself, and left behind dents, waves, and ice picks.
The body "thinks" the scarred skin has been healed when the acne that inflames it has gone away, when in reality we are left with scar tissue. Does that make sense?
What I have a difficult time comprehending is how only drinking water for a period of time would affect acne scarring one way or another.
Yes cherry here is the link.
Shewas successful with her scarring. I will start the fast by monday. You could also follow my thread. Its here.

The thread's OP sounds completely crazy. 23+ days without food, and only water?!
Are you kidding me?!?
No human with the ability to eat should try such a thing. This is ridiculous.
Initially I thought you were talking about a weekend water fast, or something along those lines.
People are supposed to eat food. That's why we have gums, teeth and jaws for chewing and consuming food.
Please don't junk up the forums with nonsense like this. People come to them for real help, not "water fasts" that will ultimately lead someone to starve to death.
The OP doesn't even have any real Before/After pictures. Why would you believe anything said by someone who didn't bother to include photographic evidence?
Do whatever you want, of course. Personally, I will stick with what works.

You could do a research about it cherry. A normal person could reach even 30 days with just water alone. Im planning a 7 day fast. I have researched already. I mean its not wrong to do fasts. Even the characters in the did fasting. And it does work. When you are sick, we lose our appetite. Its the bodys way of saying take a break stomach from working. I hope i helped. It does not necessarily mean you have to do a 26 day fast. We could always go shorter, like 3-10. Its just that longer fasts would be more healing.

Who is this "we" you're referring to? Like I said, you do whatever you want. Personally, I'll stick with medical procedures that have proven results.
As a student and a medical assistant, there's no way I could get by on the lack of energy that something like a "water fast" would cause. I would barely be able to think.
Furthermore, you have supplied zero photographic evidence proving something like this would work. You'd be basically starving yourself for no reason.
Panos lives.....?
Hi Cherry, how are you? I have had appointment with my derm for punch graft procedure in early Sept. So excited and scared. Wish me luck..
Do you think I should stop smoking prior to the procedure? What should I do / not to do before the procedure? Do you think the treated area can be cover with swap? I have to fly back to my country 1week after the procedure, I worried I will have trouble with the customs. (The grafts looks like Ebola) Lol.
Cherry, share with you one of my derm before and after photo of punch graft. Excellent result, this patient have had punch graft, erbium laser and fraction co2 laser. The 3rd picture was taken after 6months. Hope this will give you an idea for your coming treatment.

Wow. Those are some pretty inspiring pictures!
Do you have a link for your doc's website, by the way?
Best of luck on your up coming procedure! So happy for you.
Yes. Definitely quit smoking before your procedure (and also for the rest of your life). Do it for your health. One of the reasons I quit smoking was to help the condition of my skin, but since I quit nearly 2 years ago, I've felt so much better.
What is swap?
Sorry, it should be cotton gauze swab.

Your doc should most likely provide you with instructions about aftercare.
Theng thats your doctor? I've seen his work, it's very good.
Yes.
Hope my result will be good as the before after pic.
I hope so, too. I am rooting for you, Theng!
To those of y'all who are interested; here's an update to my Accutane thread featuring a couple of pics of my acne scarring, 3 months after ending my 6 month Accutane course;
And here's an album I created here on Acne.org featuring a few more pics of my post-Accutane scarring at 3 months;
Thanks for reading.

How did your procedure go, Theng?
The procedure went well. I had 47 grafts transplanted to my both cheek, some of them healed really well, they just flat like normal skin. But some grafts are raised looks like a little blister with circle mark. Donor site were pain in first 2weeks, maybe too much skin taken from there. I will have Erbium laser in Oct in order to even the graft with the normal skin.
Cherry, from your experience. How long does it take for the redness to fade after the procedure?
