After reading so many threads on this site I have decided to pursue subcision. I have an appointment with a local Austin TX Dermatologist March 8, 2013. Thank you all for your postings and pictures. It is sincerely appreciated.....

Mr Matt, I was wondering what you discovered with adding Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) to your diet last year? I think this is an absolutely brilliant idea! My esthetician drinks Fiji bottled water for the silica content.

cheers!

I added this to my diet for about two months. Here is what I noticed:

1). My hair grew very quickly and grew in very thick. Even the lady who cuts my hair noticed that something was 'different'.

2) My fingernails grew very strong.

3). I didn't notice anything specifically different with my skin so I discontinued using it.

Rob:

Here is a link that may provide you with some additional information.

If you go this route, you'll want to purchase food grade diatemaceous earth.

How many subcisions does it take to remove one scar (ice pick or rolling). I have only a few scars and I don't want to shell out thousands of bucks when one subcision treatment will do the trick.
