It took about three to four days for my marks to reduce, and the moisturiser i used was Vichy nutrilogie 2 that i nicked from my mum, its a french face cream and VERY thick but i think any moisturising stuff will work including vaseline. i really hope this helps!

will be using emu oil as soon as i get it and will keep posted on progress.

I am using Emu Oil (Emu Spirit) now and I just started yesterday evening. I put it on before I went to sleep and also I just put it on again. So far soo good. No breakouts and although it makes your skin look totally greasy and oily (Duh! You are rubbing oil on your face) and won't rub it really, It has made my face skin really soft and nice looking. It has really brought down a big pimple I had in between my eyebrows down in size overnight.

Then again I do not reallty have any acne left, just some acne marks. But so far soo good. I will update in a few days time my progress. BTW I live in Australia, Sydney and I bought the emu oil from Priceline for about $26 AUD for a 125 ml bottle. It doesn't have any bad smell which sux but yeh.

For anyone having trouble getting it to absorb, try putting it on while in a hot shower. The steam and hot water makes your skin receptive to the moisture. Afterwards you can wash off the excess because your skin has absorbed all that it can anyways.

I'VE BEEN USING THIS EMU OIL PLUS THE SOAP FOR ALMOST 3 WEEKS NOW AND I DON'T NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCE IN THE AMOUNT OF PIMPLES I GET OR FADING OF MY RED MARKS.

FUCKING BULLSHIT.

crap i bought it from them too. >_>

i meant, their oil.

they were certified too. i wonder if it would really help or if theirs are too modified. it doesn't smell like anything.

I usually just read these boards but I HAD to say thank you for starting this thread!

The before and after pics are what sold me so yesterday I marched on down to the health food store, ponied up $25 and returned home with a decent sized bottle of 100% Emu oil.

FYI - I don't have a ton of active acne anymore - mostly discolored scars and the occasional monster cyst that will haunt my face for months and of course, leave its nasty red mark for eternity. So a few days ago one of these was making me crazy and I went on a massive offensive with the BP trying to murder the little bastard, but ended up looking like someone tried to stub out their cigarette on my face. Seriously. Horrifying.

Applied the Emu oil a couple times during the day, then once more before I went to bed and stuck a silicone bandaid over the whole thing. Ok - woke up this morning and the giant, flaming-red, angry flake-festival has become smooth, completely flat and pale pink. It looks like it's been healing for two weeks instead of overnight. Am so wishing I had taken my own before and after pics!

Yeah. Totally wowed. My effusive thanks to RealTalk and Giant Flightless Birds from Down Under ;)

ah yes. so i would like to say that Thunder Ridges pure emu oil has done nothing for me.

i think my tazorac did most of the 'healing' for pigmentation. and the fresh acne did not go down fast. it swelled down at a normal pace.

i did not apply the emu oil consistently. mostly 1-2x a day and sometimes spot treated throughout the day.

i also broke out in little comedones. not sure if it's emu. so i'm stopping for now,

very disappointed. :( maybe i should try a different brand.

I'm trying your moisturize method with Cetaphil Moisturizer right now, hoping for the best!

I'm thinking of ordering some Emu Oil, what do you use to dab it onto you face with? A cotton ball? And if you apply it to your face multiple times a day, won't that bottle run out pretty damn fast?

There are a lot of products for emu oil. Which ones did you specially use?

Is this the best place to buy emu oil? A lot of ppl are giving different links as to where they got theres.

This is honestly the most amazing stuff I've ever bought for my skin. I'm not bullshitting you. It's removed indented(albeit, tiny and not extreme) scars from my face, removed redmarks, made my skin look vibrant and glowing, and best of all it actually KEEPS me clear. My acne came back about 5 months ago after being off of acctuane for about a year and half, and this is the only things helped me stay clear. Originally I bought it for the small scars I had, and assumed I'd break out but said fck it I'll try it anyway.. oddly enough it worked for my somewhat oily skin even though it's an extremely oily substance  ..

Anyways, I'm not saying this is a cure all for everyone, but it sure can't hurt to give it a shot considering the worse it can do is break you out, which it may not even do that. It will sure as hell help clear up your redmarks though.

I don't think I'm allowed to post links to other purchase sites, so the name of the one I buy is Emu Oil-S

by Skin Biology. Yes, it's not 100% Emu oil, but it's for sure 95%+ with only oxidants added.

BTW, if I do get a small zit, within 24 hrs its completely leveled off & not even noticeable.
