Rolling scars on my cheeks, but they don't cover the entire cheek.

Needling them individually is kinda scary to me because I have no experience with this. So dermarolling seems easier. But when I see people dermaroll they always take the entire area and I really dont wanna do this. Can't you just roll the area where the scars are? Or will the texture change or something?

Hi Guys,

Is anyone in the know still on here like lamarr etc? :)

I got my led man 3-led. yellow, red and ir. Its great. very odd feeling!

But how close does one hold it?

2 - I have a derma roller. some people say dont draw blood, just roll hard as you can. Well i drew blood and it healed up inside 3 days, so im ready to roll again. Lamarr said in his initial post that if you roll hard enough and correctly you'll only be able to roll 1x a month. Is this right?

I have diabetic needles that i use on my chest and i go deep! And im still able to go again inside 10 days??

What topicals do you all use?

Thanks

John

Isn't this guy lamarr1986 wonderful!?

This seems to be a brilliantly thought out and well implemented scar removal/reduction plan! Plus, he stayed on answering peoples questions for almost two years. I read the whole tread in one sitting except for sleep.

Really doesn't seem like many have followed his plan closely thou.

I love this guy!

Which is the best site to buy a dermaroller from? Any advice?

I've read some contradictory information. When you roll do you go in just one direction, one direction vertically horizontally and diagonally, or just back and forth over the area?

I think we need a new central dermarolling thread, anyone care to make one? 😉

lol whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy does everyone insist on making new threads for things. surely one thread is easier to manage than 5 or 6 of them, lol. if you do make a new thread at least post a link to all the other dermarolling threads so people who want to seek further info can look.

reinventing the wheel is not a good idea - especially when the wheel is working already....ps the wheel in this instance is the dermarolling thread 🙂

I am hoping someone can help me. I would like to know what needles to use when needling individual scars. I bought (what appears to be) the exact pen needles Lamaar recommends and yet for some reason I cannot seem to use the little suckers. :wall: They have a peel stick tab at the bottom and when you remove that the needle is still encased in the plastic surround so it cannot be used for facial needling. (Though, you can stick your finger in there to prick it.) I have finally mustered the courage to ask about this situation because I know I sound like I am having a crisis of idiocy. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Remove the peel stick tab from the bottom, then use some tweezers to grab the bottom of the needle that is sticking out and pull. That will separate the needle from the plastic cover.

And don't worry I couldn't figure it out either at first.

Ok you are amazing. :hifive: Thank you so much. You should have some good karma coming your way.

Wow, tweezers. I am experiencing such a "duh" moment right now but I am so grateful to finally have an answer.

lamarr

I just bought the baby quasar light therapy. It is awesome. I had an excision done on Monday and bought it on Tuesday and started using tues and wed so far. I don't heal well from incisions so I am trying to do everything right. I think i have been using it too much and now I am a little worried? What happens if you use it too much. I thought because now is the most important time in the healing process that it would be ok to use it a lot but now I am not sure. It does not come with a lot of direction and I can't find online anywhere. It feels so good when I use it like everything is healing up inside and it relieves any pain I have which is why I keep using it. What do you think?

Also should I be using terpoline on an excision. What does the terpoline do for healing? thanks

Thanks

Where did you get your lights from? If you got them from the LED man, you're only meant to do the red/infrared for 4-5 minutes once a day, and the yellow for like 8-10 minutes because it apparently has half the power.

Couldn't really say to be honest. I wouldn't over do it though, maybe an extra minute or two but that's it. You don't want to undo the benefits. You know the saying, too much of anything is bad.

What is a 1mm stopper?

Do 5mm 31G pen needles work for large pores, scarred pored and very shallow indents? Or are they only for deep pits...?

Is this how the routine can go:

Dermaroller 1.5mm every 6 weeks.

Use the light therapy (red 660/infra red 880, and yellow 590) every single day.

Apply emu oil every day and 1 hour after the dermaroller session.

Then clean the dermaroller after each use with rubbing alcohol.

Am i missing anything, is this how your suppost to do it?

I dont know how your suppost to use the LEDs, do you just hold them up an inch away from your face, and put emu oil RIGHT after, or do you have to have something on your face while your under the light?

After you've rolled, how do you get off any dried blood on your roller? I put mine in rubbing alcohol, but there is still dried blood on it. Can you use it again with that still on it as long as it was soaked in alcohol first?

Hi, could anyone advise

Do you think this is sufficient for healing after derma rolling sessions

http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/webapp/wcs/s...hotspot_prefix=

It's just a red light therapy system, is it important to have both red and yellow LED lights and is it important on the power of them to have beneficial effects?

Thanks

I put mine in boiling water and scrubbed it with a toothbrush to get that off
