Lemmar or any1 who uses Terproline - i know that terporline increase collagen elastin and HA but does it work inthe same way as retinoids and does it make the skin peel (which i dont want)?

They work in completely different ways, your skin won't peel atall with the terproline.

So it's been a week and I'm excited to see what I look like in a month. Hopefully some changes will occur. BTW for those of you guys buying the red/infrared LED combo and buying the yellow LED separately, the LEDman sells all three for the same price as the red/infrared combo. Don't waste your money buying them separately.

So I did needling 8 days ago and I have the red/infrared and yellow leds. I do not have any topicals thought I will get those soon. Do I see further improvement in a month? or its about the same as now? I will be doing needling again in 6 weeks

Hi lamarr,

I recently started dermarolling (read your thread and have leds too). Some of my scars filled in but there are some depressions there now that weren't there before as well as some redness under other scars.

I seemed to remember you saying once yours got worse before they got better but I don't have the time to read your entire thread again..it's 20+ pages now!

Anyway if you could let me know that would be great. I really appreciate all the help and advice you posted so far...your pics are inspiring.

Thanks !

Newtrix, I am just short of two months in...

I use a 1.5mm roller (Dr Roller, 3-line), Retinol cream (Green Cream level 6), and a fat soluble C-serum (Jason's Hyper-C serum)

Also I use the 660/880 and yellow LEDs about 4 times a week...5 minutes of each, so a total of 10 minutes total each treatment

I came into this with my skin a bit sensitive and having random scarring due to my use of HQ to fade some recent hyperpigmentation...this was all back in september-oct 08

So I waited 3 months before rolling, to give me skin a chance to recover its healing ability, as the new scars (random) were really depressing...so on Feb 13th, I did my first roll...and on March 21st I did my second roll (very agressive)

Now, like 3 weeks later...and since the first roll, I saw some new, but small scars...and guess what, they go away within two weeks...got me a bit worried, but figured it happens (lamarr had this happen as well)...but the BEST part is, ALL the new 'random' scars I got back in sept 08-jan 09 from HQ have been altered to some extent...some are basically no longer noticeable (the ones on my temple), and the couple on my cheek have changed in size, shape and severity, in a good way

The changes are exciting, and the fact that older scars are also remodelling, I have one scar that is from 2002, nothing I did prior ever touched it, very stubborn ice pick, now after the second roll, it randomly changed shape, and seemed to get wider, but then much flatter! now, about 2 weeks since that happened, it looks MUCH more possible to get this scar to heal normally, as before it was a ice-pick blackhole, now its more like a shallower boxscar (much easier to treat)

and all the scars I have now have this red tender looking tissue area where the bottom of the pits were, instead of the slightly hyperpigmented (brown and unappealing) colored pits, kinda like there is something goin on there, a 'work-in-progress'...3 more days till 2 months, will be rolling in 2 weeks...its nice because every week is something new with the scarring, gives you something to look forward to, some weeks are baby steps, others are like 'whoa, I remember when that scar was ruining my life, now look at it...its losing its ground and hold on my life..'

I think the topicals+LEDs really change things and help heal tissue in a much better/appealing/correct way than your body may alone...as the body is looking more to close the wound asap, these additions allow it to go beyond that, way beyond, because we are doing all this with a purpose to remodel and improve

Nose scars seem to react the least overall, but I have realized that this tissue is treatable just like the rest, only it is a bit thinner, prone to hypertrophic scars, and pulled tightly over bone/cartilage...so with alot of caution I treat the scars with attention paid to those mentioned characteristics...I have had my most recent scar change overall depth, it looks better and with a couple more sessions may no longer be a true scar...the older pits have not budged as much, and are more stubborn, however there is something going on with them as well, not sure exactly what this will amount to just yet...but they cannot run and hide from this treatment either ;)

Wow! Thanks so much for your detailed reply. I can't tell you how worried I have been since noticing the larger areas of scarring, (almost in tears at times!!) but it sounds like you understand what I am going through. Your post has definitely put my mind at ease.

I had a really bad experience with a PDT treatment once that caused blistering on my cheeks (warning to anyone who thinks this is a great idea for acne!!) , and now that I am looking at the uncovered scars it seems like they are in the same shape as the blisters were...so hopefully that means they are only being expunged and not only returning to make me miserable.

I haven't bought the green cream yet, although I am using a vitamin a serum from vitamincure and a homemade vitamin c topical. I was also thinking about buying a matrixyl 3000 product since apparently it is great with collagen remodling also? I haven't bought a yellow led yet but I'm using a red 660 and that seemed to have helped with my healing during the last session. Do you find the yellow works more than the red?

Congratulations on all your success with your face!!! Isn't it amazing that so much can be accomplished through a home product when lasers are pretty much put forth as the be all, end all for scar treatment? So glad I found this website.

Thanks again 🙂

Go to the LEDman site, and contact him directly via email. Tell him you want the 3 in 1 combo array of Red/Infrared/Yellow, and follow his instructions on the order page.

On another note, I am using a 0.5mm dermaroller as part of my therapy. Should I be using this everyday or every other day?? Munsoned, Crzyakta, Lamarr?? Anyone? Thanks bro

crzyakta, in addition to your ice pick scars, do you have any shallower, rolling scars? If so, have you seen much improvement with these?

I thought he meant for the LED lights, are you sure he also meant dermarolling? I use the 0.5mm so it isn't that deep. But when you get a chance I'd appreciate your input lamarr. Thanks

I wouldn't use anything other than the longer 1.5mm roller every 4-6 weeks. I don't think rolling with anything inbetween is needed and we don't know how detrimental this may be so i avoid it.

hey Newtrix, I read and thought about matrixyl 3000...from over at essentialdayspa...but decided to go with the basics for now...I dont want any heavy or thick creams (dont know the viscosity of matrixyl 3000 creams, just assuming) as they may break me out...so I am just staying with A & C for now, with the 302 Serum here and there (it also breaks me out)

As far as I am concerned and from what I read, the red will do more of what we need in terms of scar repair, I use both though (my red is a combo, 660/880), 880nm goes deeper than 660nm does, but 660nm may be more important...and yes it is amazing, I was very depressed about this whole thing...this has given me a lot of my confidence back...cannot wait to see where it leads my skin in another 7-8 months

Peepotterypete, I just fit it in 4 times a week minimum...whenever I can as I have a hectic schedule and sometimes forget

hey Saleena, the ones that bother me the most are the ice picks, I also have enlarged pores (which respond very well the the Green Cream and C Serum)...and I do have shallow scarring as well...when my skin gets oily, they are visible...but they are much less pronounced...I dont have any rolling scarring, legend did...so I wonder how he is faring...I spoke with him recently, and he has not had much time to devout for the last 2 months...but I think he said he will get back in shortly

Thanks munsoned...being patient really helps, I am going 110% with this....thus far I am really liking where it is taking me...I also do an aggressive 0.25mm roll 1-2 times in between the 1.5mm rolls...it gets my skin red for like 2-3 days, and I apply Green Cream right after...I think this actually helps results along...again I do this only 1-2 times during the 4-5 week healing time...and make sure not to do it 1 week before big rolls

110% is the effort it takes man..and patience is a virtue 😉 your program is sound and your attitude is positive and thats the ticket.. "every day is a day to improve...every day is a step closer" 🙂

hey lamaar i wanted to say your method inspired me to improvise my own method. instead of dermarolling though i did an intnse 70% GA peel and im using rejuva wand (627/850 nm) along with various serums and creams to help stimulate growth.

it's working amazingly well! thanks for posting all your progress.

Exactly the kind of thing i like to hear!!

People need to realise the importance of the LEDs in all of this. It makes the world of difference!
