I think someone has to do it, its not a matter of being afraid. Our hope lies in it.

Thing is why is everyone afraid I'll be willing to try it but i live outside the US so i can't get my hands on the stuff. Why wait for someone to try when you can try it yourself. theres no evidence that there will be adverse effects so even if it doesn't work you would of lost money.

People here have been using growth factors after tca cross why not order the powder and use that instead because ECM has growth factors in it aswell. I'm not telling people to cut a deep hole in the skin and see if it grows back i'm just saying if your gonna have fraxel, tca cross etc just add some of the powder.

I can't because my scar would have to be cut out on the face and I already had exision that went terrible. So I'm in no rush to jump into another treatment unless i know for sure there might be a chance.

I'm not telling people to go out of their way to get the treatment I'm telling them if they plan on doing something about their scars then why not do what they plan on doing and just sprinkle a bit of acell to help the healing.

Everyone is thinking that you must remove the whole scar to get it to fully regenerate which may be true. But i'm saying use acell not to hope that it will fully regenerate scar free tissue but use it to lessen the chances of extra scarring.

Yeah i have several doctors appt's lined up in hopes to get a prescription (its so hard), once i obtain the product ill try needling and then applying the product over it. Not going to do anything drastic yet that's for sure.

I have a question for people who have been following this thread and are informed about acell and the discussion about ecm. Using the examples in the Jones hair transplant scar trial as well as the links posted by Seabs. Would you be prepared to do it? That is get your scars excised and treated with Acell. In another thread a board member is having his treated although since they are not being excised entirely the results will not be as good as if they were. I'm located in Australia and Acell is currently not available but if your in North America is there any concerns stopping you or are you finding that doctors are unwilling?

This seems to offer the best chance of dealing with scars permanently except there was significantly more hype regarding dermabrasion and needling. My theory is that due to past let downs of treatments and bad side effects e.g. more scarring on this board people are sceptical of new treatments. Opinions?

If Acell was available near to me Iad use it. I would want the best protocol, best ECM, but still, even the Jones type protocol would please me, as at least I would know that the skin will be as flat as the site specific skin, there would be none of that bumpy texture you get with scarring.

I think people have learned some helplessness, and currently do not want to look at and discuss landmarks.

Thanks for you opinions, I agree with you seabs as I would still have it done even if it was using Dr Jones protocol. The issue now seems to be getting the product known and out there, perhaps it still seems like science fiction so doctors dont want to try it. Once doctors start experimenting with Acell on a wider range of patients we will see more promising results.

hey I was wondering how come someone doesn't scar a mouse and then cut out the scar and put some Acell powder on the wound.

why should we be the test subjects, anyone?

I'm sure Acell was tried on mice. Infact, it has been tried on many animals such as horses and cats. And their healing was amazing according to the pictures which were in their website. Almost 99% healing occured. However, some say that animals are much better than human in healing. So yeah, i guess we just need a try on a human body, on the back maybe, it doesn't have to be on the face.

The way I understand it is,

Our ECM is the same as any other mammal. And the pig, were the Acell ECM comes from, is actually more related to the human than the horse.

Our unscarred tissues are constantly using the same non denatured ECM to regenerate

Foreskin regeneration,

in our opinion, would involve redundant, multiple tissue procedures involving

The glans is very sensitive in a lot of people... And why not, they might be of the opinion they have been mutilated...

Also an earlier ECM completely regenerated a sexual organ...

Almost seems like some recycling process...

Incredible results. I wonder how the Korean clinic was able to import Acell. Perhaps one of the physicians there had a doc from the US bring it to them.
