Hello all Id like to point out that SkinTE didnt present us the cosmetic results we were looking forward to. The punch biopsy that was taken from the one trial patient however was confirmed to have all 3 regenerated layers. We cant forget the FDA are the ones monitoring the trials so all of these published statistics and results have been going through them as well. Hopefully we get good news from them soon.
I came here for a different reason however so please read through this. I have been programming in my spare time and developing some web sites and landing pages. I have been trying to keep track of Sunogel, but I havent reached out to them myself yet until I felt comfortable enough with my web design skills. I saw that theyre planning on doing some crowd funding and with that Im assuming theyre trying to attract investors as well. In the era we live in today, the way in which you market yourself is crucial to becoming noticed and recognized. We can all agree that if someone presents themselves with professionalism, a sense of trust can be established within the intended audience. Such things like statistics, research, andresults can add to that credibility and in this day and age, the place people look to most for sources of information is a website.
I am wanting to reach out to Dr. Sun to offer him my time by re-designing their website for free as a way to really capture a potential investors attention by making it look more professional and modern. As you can tell, it is a pretty outdated looking website and on top of that, they used Google sites to create it which severely limits any creativity/customizations that can make a website really stand out. So I want to try and build them a better website and Ive seen people here wanting to help companies progress forward.
So I have an offer for those who want to help. I need an update on Sunogels current status and if possible a time frame for when they want to seek the funding. I can do this nearly for free but they will have to pay for web hosting. I think they are able to host free because they use Googles site builder, but of course that would change if they use my design. There will be a couple of small fees like purchasing my own domain name and having a test site so that they can view and interact with the design to suggest changes (this can be done free through GitHub, but the downfall is that GitHub is public so anyone can view all the code and thats not good nor professional). The other fee would probably be for an SSL which stands for Secure Sockets Layer and that provides encryption for data being passed around. Im not sure if I will need this yet so its still up in the air until I message Dr. Sun.
If youd like to help with this project by providing me with some updates and/or small donations (just to cover whats required) then send me a private message. There is the chance that Sunogel says no to my offer and the conversation is over, but in the case where they say yes, Ill provide those who chose to contribute real-time updates as I progress with the site and a link to the test site for you to interact with the site yourself too. Thanks for reading!

I have contacted Sunogel and told them the issue of their website.
This is their response:
QuoteReally appreciate! We were going to update the website, but the person who is responsible has been stuck with different things. We are expanding our product lines while moving forward to clinical .Sunogel Inc.
Just saw all the pics, definitely didn't like the results
Of course we're talking about much worse scars that ours but still....that's not scarless healing
About Sunogel: they say they still have to go clinical trials...does that mean their product is 10 years away?
Or are there shortcuts?

Thanks for the update. This could be the perfect time to reach out to him. How long ago did he send you that by the way?

It's not good man, trust me....I want them to succeed but the pics are bad....indeed the stock price is plummeting, almost -20% after the pics appeared
Don't know what to think anymore, I'm quite pessimistic now
I recognised ausome from the uni of Utah slides. At current they do look like well taken skin grafts but he has no fat or muscle in areas. So a success in that he wont lose his arms but I regretfully dont think skinte is the one for us.
Im not going to chase it anymore. I look forward to sunogel trials.
Can someone tell me what the hell it is shown in their pics? Really shitty pictures but I dont actually see when they aplied skinte. The slides are very stupid and confusing.
I saw only one promising picture where they compared stg contraction with skinte but I did not really understsnd the other slides.. Can someone please writr down what is actually shown there with their confusing slides.

Those pics are brutal and honestly, I'm surprised it did anything at all for a lot of them in the varying university's presentation. However, yes, while it may be an improvement over STSG, I don't see anything yet to suggest this will work for us. I'm curious about the fact they are getting all three layers of skin to regenerate (according to the punch biopsy) but that it looks quite different than native skin. Perhaps it will still improve over time, but we should hold them to their burden of promising complete regeneration with all appendages and appearances like normal skin.
The stock dropped because Citron accused them of outright fraud. These pics may have also had something to do with it, but the last time Citron wrote something negative (just two weeks ago I believe) the stock also plummeted. Again, forget the stock price for the most part. SurgicalScar's post (since deleted I guess) was right about that and even though he was accusing me of being a shill, the posts he quoted were actually the two of us in complete agreement. Stocks fluctuate for all kinds of reasons and a lot of investors are just following trends and charts to make their moves. But if someone with a little name recognition accuses a company of fraud, a big drop is what you get.

I think you need to listen to their presentation from the conference and look at the slides to get the full picture. Remember, the slides were there for reference as a presenter spoke about them. So listen and follow along and you'll get better context.

I've just read the Citron report, that looks quite bad tbh
They haven't disclosed the fact the patent application got rejected and they profited by selling the stocks. Stock is down 35% now and it's well deserved
Of course that doesn't prove the product doesn't work, but the pics showed today aren't good.
The wounds treated looked terrible and maybe on scars like ours SKINTE can regenerate skin better but still....I expected better
PolarityTe took a huge punch today. They are on the ropes if this is true that patent was rejected and they kept this hush hush...
Who knows, skinte could still offer something for small defects. Better to sit back and let the dust settle on this one.
Does anyone know if Sunogel hyrdogel goes to trials will it be classified as a device? And if so can that fast track everything?

When I talked to Dr. Sun he said it would be classified as a device. However, he also said that he still wanted to go through 3 phases of clinical trials in order to verify the efficacy and safety to legitimize the product.
That was back in December, so things could have changed since then, but I wouldn't think so. Dr. Sun is cautious, perhaps too much but maybe not in light of the beating PolarityTE is taking in part because of the pathway they chose and how they marketed the product.
19 minutes ago, SimpleMutton said:Anybody knows, roughly speaking, how long will it take for sunogel to complete the clinical trials and go to the market? Hope it's less than 5 years
Clinical trials take a long time to complete. The FDA is quite strict. SkinTE was able to go forward because they were registered as a device as golfpanther stated in the past.
Hasnt Trump overhauled the FDA just recently to process trials and new drug approvals much faster?
10 years as some have stated doesnt seem right. Each phase takes roughly 15 months from what I read on average. You could put your hand up during phase 3 as one of a few thousand patients if your lucky and desperate. Stage 4 its basically widespread but continued observations of the product still happen and data is still collected. Should be within 5 years by my maths from whenever they start phase 1. Im not so familiar with the FDA process, this is just what i gather from research.

Do you have a link for the pics? The pic shown by Anish004 looks okay, it looks like the wound healed properly with normal skin (Although its low definition so we can't make out anything), except for the discoloration which will likely go off with time, everything looks pretty fine.
I don't know how PolarityTE whipped up the pics for the porcine model, but they had me fooled. I didn't know having 'normal skin' meant looking like beef jerky.
Sunogel looks promising but the team doesn't seem to be driven to make the technology into a product. Perhaps it's a bit far-fetched to expect this team to work as a company in the private sector. But isn't there a way to get government funding for this sort of research? I can imagine them doing well with government support.

Al3forever yes the pic i shown look like the wound healed with normal skin just slight change in pigmentation which will get better and the pic is of just one month progress of healing it will look better
i will try to get high res images
Yeah the hush about the patent will not go down well but I think in the chronic wound and burn field skinte will survive because as the presentation says it will save lives. I feel skinte really over sold itself because one of the pics was 6 months progress? And it looked like controlled but functional scarring. Will save burn patients from horrible physio but not from scars. Sad.
Sunogel...we need you now
Finally after all the attacks on me for breaking the reality check on SkinTE earlier, some are slowly forced to come back to their senses and wake up to the reality of clearly distinct patchy beef jerky skin substitute SkinTE offers.
Now we can think about real regenerative prospects and stop being suckers for empty marketing slogans.
I don't want to discard SkinTE just yet.
Yeah it didn't result in scarless healing for big, deep wounds but we don't have such large wounds.
Can it be injected instead of applied after excising all layers of skin? could it works better on smaller wounds?
we have to wait to have our answers to these questions.
the thing is, PolarityTE is focused on treating large burns and wounds right now and haven't set their sight on the cosmetic market. Who knows when they'll experiment on using SkinTE (a derivative) to treat very small, medium depth acne scars....
I asked about injection, and so far no one agrees it can get injected into small incisions or it will turn out looking not worse off. If anything SkinTE will be more aesthetically risky for smaller scars and doctors believe it will make them bigger, and there needs to be a gap created for the thick paste.
The imaginary derivative is no where on paper beside on the clouds and fantasy. No one even knows what that may be. Sunogel at least has a prototype and an explanation for it.
I hope Sunogel can get the help and funding they need soon. I also kinda hope they won't make their stock offerings public so we won't have this stock tracking nonsense anymore instead of real updates.
