To people saying 'it's only 7 weeks'... Didn't Dr. Sun and the hydrogel team say that their dextran hydrogel regenerated full thickness skin completely within 2 weeks? Isn't that key to scar-free regeneration, to be healed by 2 weeks before the scar tissue develops?
SkinTE looks like it'll be a great replacement for grafts and such, but for scars... It's really hard to have optimism after those pictures. Does the hand not already clearly show contractures? It's not just that it looks like it's still healing, it looks like scar tissue has clearly already developed. It looks like it'll be a nice breakthrough for serious wounds, but it doesn't really look like you're going to be able to cut out a scar and have it magically replaced by pretty skin. Obviously can't say that definitively, but those pictures, man... not good.

It hasn't evenbeen just 7 weeks. They have patients passed 3 months by now, but they won't release any newer pictures anytime soon for a reason.
The surgeon in Florida said he has not seen enough progress yet in his reconstructive case, and won't be able to comment whether it works at all at least for another several months. Not a few, not a couple...several more months to just comment on progress!
Why doesn't this unstable damnBOY puts his money where his delusionalmouth is and goes and fills his face with SkinTE paste for half a year and comes back and runs his mouth...

Doctors using SkinTE most definitely would have signed agreements that prevent them from making public statements on their own volition during the trial phase. Thats common sense, esp. as polarityTE is a public company.
Many of you in this thread need to refrain from letting your emotions guide your words. Considering the damage that is being repaired in the hand photos, its extremely impressive for such a short period of time on body skin. I had underwent a simple Fraxel Restore treatment on my shoulders, and my skin is still recovering 2 months later. Even if SkinTE ends up not being the answer for superficial cosmetic scars, itll certainly help pave the way for future technologies.
Its unlikely that even the top scientific minds on this forum understand 5% of whats required to regenerate full thickness skin and the associated process/technologies involved. Most of the comments Ive read in this thread are empty unbacked opinions from those desperate for a cure. Please be rational and objective.
Empty unbacked opinions backed by the opinion of doctors and pictures
If youre going to tell anyone to refrain from commenting, first refrain from your unbacked empty opinions while adding exactly zero information to this thread. Who is backing your opinions?
I dont tell you to shut up when you share your delusional emotional opinions about how we have the holy grail and well have a cure for scars by the end of the year, and cosmetic practitioners will pick up the procedure, and then theyll start injecting the product into existing scars!
Were not looking for how impressive a damage can get repaired. Almost anything used on that destroyed hand would look like great improvement. Were looking for scarless regeneration of full skin in a reasonably timely practical way that will convince patients and doctors to try it on normal scars.
The pictures of RenovaCare look much better and the skingun lays down a neater layer. Why havent they been able to sell it to the cosmetic scar market if this kind of stem cell graft method can get adopted by cosmetic providers?
There is only one picture of the hand that doesnt look as bumpy and patchy as the other patients and we dont know if that may be because its not visible in contrast to his pale skin in that picture.
Why didnt they include pictures later than 7 weeks if the progress looked better by the time of the release? I bet they had to show something because they had promised they wouldnt be empty-handed after the first quarter, and they didnt want to disappoint the investors more with later mid-stage pictures.
17 hours ago, ScarRight said:Polarity plunged almost 10% on the stock market last night. Those pictures, it appears, didn't impress investors or meet their expectations
It plunged because they made a public stock offering.
Honestly, if any of you are on the stocktwits site and follow their ticker almost none of the investors pay attention to actual photos or releases by PolarityTE. They follow formulas for when to invest, short, play the long game etc. I was into looking at the stock price as an indicator but I think it's a bad approach to take. Ultimately, only the final results matter.
So much betting and speculation on this board - it's nauseating. None of us know anything other than what's been presented. Why waste your own time and everyone else's by posting uniformed opinions? If you want to get some real data, go straight to PolaritytE like I and another poster on here did.
For those of you that actually want to read what SkinTe has been used for, look at the attached photo. You'll notice it's not just burn scars.
What is all this talk about "normal" scars? What makes a scar normal? In reality, all scarring is normal since that is how we naturally heal. And as has been gone over so many times on this board, it is not being used in the cosmetic market because PolarityTE is in the post-market trial period for the FDA as part of the 361 regulatory arm. They need, like all researchers conducting clinical trials, to prove efficacy over the standard of care. Why do you think they constantly talk about this in every press release and presentation? A split-thickness skin graft is what they have to beat to get post-market approval, hence why the results they are posting are indications that would normally be treated with such. This isn't rocket science.
As far as the skin gun goes, it only is effective in wounds as deep as 2nd degree burns. It is not used for 3rd degree burns or other indications of that depth. It's also not approved by the FDA and since it isn't autologous/homologous (for patient, from patient), it has to go through the standard clinical trial process instead of the post-market trial PolarityTE is part of.
As far as not releasing later stage photos at this point, who knows. They just made a public offering of stock to increase funds (likely so they can, you know, actually meet demand for the product) so maybe they're just waiting for the right time. Or maybe they're working with the FDA and the doctors to produce peer-reviewed papers. Who knows, and who cares honestly. The final stage healing photos will be released at some point and then everyone can either swear them off or embrace their results.

I did not offer up baseless opinions that question the specific workings or effectiveness of the technology associated with SkinTE, so your entire comment doesnt apply or make sense. Bottomline is that nobody on this forum can gauge the effectiveness of SkinTE with the information thats currently available. Examining a low resolution image of a severly damaged hand only a handful of weeks into the procedure provides doesnt really tell us anything about SkinTEs effectiveness on shallow acne scars, or even more severe scars. Everything is 100% guesswork right now, some of which are being proposed as facts. Those who are smart will check back on SkinTE in Q4 to see more realistic and accurate results.

You know what we mean by normal scars. Stop playing with words.
You just contradicted yourself by posting those hypothetical claims and then admit it hasn't been tried for cosmetic market cases. You realize hypertrophic scar revision is a cosmetic procedure? Stop confusing and wasting everyone's time by posting that advertisement we've already read many times.

Are you saying that they won't use it on paying patients until further approval? Because that's what they are doing. How do you not know that if you are in direct contact with polarity? It's just that they have not used it on non-reconstructive cases and are reluctant to.
@Delto Jeez...what you're even talking about and what's your problem? Actually don't bother. Just morenonsensicalprotests and adding no information to the topic. Don't start bickering.

He didn't say that though Mr. some people lack serious reading comprehensive skills according to one of your recent posts.
8 hours ago, damnBOY said:wait for the final picture before judge
I don't think this says anything about claiming a holy grail and a cure by the end of the year. What him and others have been saying is to simply wait for an end result before throwing a childish tantrum. Your constant tantrums also indicate a psychological disorder. I suggest doing your own research and posting it here over other treatments on the horizon if you're going to be so pessimistic about SkinTE. You do look like you hate when the subject on this thread is always about SkinTE so why not post some links and sources over other research? Laziness perhaps?
Let's talk about RenovaCare and their skin gun.
They haven't even started clinical trials and have been trying to get the FDA to classify it as a medical device. Why they still haven't been classified as such is a mystery. They do have to conduct trials and the reason for getting it classified as a device is because they can skip a phase 4 and possibly a phase 3 as well. Even then, phases 1 and 2 can take up to 2 years.
The patients that have been treated by the skin gun were only treated because of a protocol that allows innovative practices, but that doesn't mean your average person can just walk in and get the procedure.
Also stated in that link is this:
"It is not yet known how to rebuild the lower or dermal level of skin, should it be destroyed by third-degree burns"
The reticular dermis can't be treated with the skin gun because they basically admitted it doesn't work that deep. They can only treat second degree burns which is medically classified as damage extending into the papillary dermis which is the upper dermis. This will still not be enough for some people with deep acne scarring and/or other forms of scarring.
Also stated in that link is this:
"Full restoration of pigment still must be investigated on patients with darker skin pigmentation. Other treatments could address various types of skin damage or scarring, including acne scarring, and treatment of wounds and surgery wounds that fail to heal through traditional means."
In other words: They're not going to treat acne scarring, pigmentation in dark skin, or other forms of skin damage because the skin gun doesn't work for it. They instead referred you to "other treatments." And incase you have any optimistic view of this being used cosmetically, well not in the near future.
http://www.newsweek.com/2017/04/21/stem-cell-spray-skingun-renovacare-burns-582079.html
They state:
"but for now the company is focusing solely on burns and wounds to skinthe largest organ of the human body."
Which means they have 0 interest right now in treating acne scars. Even if they wanted to, the latest they've done is get patented. This is still going to be a ways away for the type of scarring the majority of this forum has. They did state in those links that they are working right now to expand the skin gun's healing capabilities to extend into 3rd degree burns, but that hasn't been developed. This is basically a longer waiting game. Those links have a published date of the earlier months of 2017, but still no sign of commencement of clinical trials; only the patents.
Also stated in that link:
"Beyond regulatory matters, there are also limitations to the technology that make it unsuitable for competing with treatments of third-degree burns"
This can't even compete with thecurrent standard of care(shitty lasers and skin grafts) for third degree burns which medically classify as damage extending into the entirety of the dermis and even into the hypodermis. Scarring is mostly residing in the dermis, but they can't treat the reticular dermis because they don't understand why it doesn't work there as stated above. Not discrediting the skin gun, it can be incredible progress, but they have lots of optimizing to do and the timeline for that not even they can predict.
Impressive results with the skin gun and revolutionary, but as to why they haven't announced this could be used cosmetically, that's a mystery. Even if it can be picked up by cosmetic providers, the simple reality is that this isn't looking like it will come out any time soon and keeping in mind this is still being focused on solely for burns and wounds even if it gets marketed and not pre-existing scarring or other skin damage. The trooper was treated back in 2009 and we're now almost halfway through 2018.
SkinTE is the primary subject of this thread only because it's the one nearest to be able to show results and nearest to market. If this was Sunogel or RenovaCare, everyone would be talking about that instead. Why? Because as you can see, some including you are so impatient that they can't help but complain every day about why SkinTE isn't hurrying up as if you're entitled to such demands. They also said they would be releasing results throughout 1H 2018 so if you can't even wait that long, then I can't wait to be entertained by your posts over Sunogel and RenovaCare.

It's funny that you managed to completely contradict yourself in the same post. You talked about "empty unbacked opinions" and then the only thing you can come up with is "I bet." You sound very credible as a gambler.
Back to our reading comprehension skills:
"As clinical application grows, results and outcomes from the first group of treated patients are expected to be published throughout the first half 2018, addressing the many different patient populations treated."
"Published throughout the first half of 2018" and you said they promised they wouldn't be empty-handed after the First Quarter? Where did they even promise that? Source please or were you just "betting" they said something like that?
1 hour ago, Tano1 said:I've been waiting for your sources that I've asked for twice now with no response. Am I intimidating or something that you're left speechless? Who is backing yours?
I told you that the sources were provide by SkinTE, and I told you how you can inquire about them if you bother yourselves. I obviously don't want to name drop here and post their casual private communications with me to create liability for them or hurt the possibility of future consultations with them. Not that they are keen on taking average scar cases or that I find it optimistic at this point.
I'm not here to convince you to believe me if you want to keep believing what you like. Especially that most of you are unappreciative and come across combative when you don't hear what you like.

Are you still going on about me? LOL I didn't even read the rest of the rant to yourself. It looks like you've been stalking me all this time looking for a chance to come out of the woods to hit on me again and vent out how much me ignoring you hurt your ego. Good lord, talk about psychological disorders. I definitely did a good job ignoring you and the likes of you.
Seems like you've been so fixated on me that you couldn't read others' comments. PolarityTEs sole key asset is a patent application that it acquired for a value of $104.7 million.
Common equity holders are exposed to severe potential dilution, given a capital structure that is saddled with convertibles.
PolarityTE has failed to release its full pre-clinical data, and its planned human trials appear delayed.
The entity has been reverse merged several times into a variety of businesses. We believe PolarityTE is the latest in a series of failed story stocks.
We believe the common equity is likely worthless.
Let's wait guys
Pics weren't good but they treated such horrible cases of burns that little had in common with acne scars.
The damage in some of the pics was down to the underlyingmuscle, in acne scars the damage is only at the dermis and epidermis (in almost all cases).
Until we see a pic of a person treated for ascarthat resemble an acne scarwe can't say anything about its efficacy
