I am very happy and excited to tell you all that I had great success in extracting oil from the yolk of an egg. It was relatively simple as well.
You hardboil an egg. You remove the yellow boiled yolk from the egg white. You put the yellow yolk into a frying pan. You set the heat on high. If you have a microwave above your stove- I highly suggest using the fan, cause the yolk will smoke when you do this.
You depress a fork against the yolk and you basically burn the yolk until it's completely black. You must keep pressing the yolk as it fries to release the oil. It looks like frothy yellow substance at first but it will turn dark brown from carbon released from the burning egg.
The oil will not burn or evaporate. Eventually you will have a burnt up piece of black yolk in the frying pan as well as the oil. You can pour the oil into a coffee filter. To be medically sterile I would wear nitrile gloves for the next part.
Basically you squeeze the outside of the coffee filter to expel the filtered oil through the other side.
So excited. Now that I know this works. The next plan is to use a brand new george foreman grill to burn the oil out of a bunch of yolks dropped into it before closing it up. It seems like a heated two side like vice press method would work best to extract the oil from the burning yolk, since you can press down to squeeze the oil out. Hence the george foreman grill idea. I thought about a waffler at first but it closes all the way up. It might also help to get the oil out and away from the yolk faster since, well thats what the grill does it channels the oil out of the cooked foods via the slanted design.
To be medical grade everything has to be sterile. Rubbed down with Rubbing Alcohal before use and new/unused for anything else. I'm going to research purifying and filtering oil methods next to see if I can get a purer colored oil next time. I think the dark color is the carbon from the burnt yolk.
One yolk will give you a quarter sized amount of oil. This stuff is very silky and it doesn't wash off easily either. I'm so so excited!!!
Using the paper, and papers that back this paper up with regards to the digestion of scaffolds. A digestible hydrogel works by being digested. Here is the logic, when a scaffold is digested cells are created, when it is not digested incomplete regeneration occurs. This hydrogel digested way faster than the control scaffold that has been tested in thousands of mammals. Logically the only way this would not work on any mammal wound is if, you used the slower digested control or you had an impaired neutrophil or white blood cells response, like say what happens in end stage diabetes.
There has to be a limit to how much the hydrogel can regenerate. What if we only see complete regeneration from the dermis and up? So if we excised anything deeper there's going to be a problem.
The hydrogel and a reliable control were placed in 'full thickness wounds' (cut out from a 3rd degree burn), the hydrogel completely degraded in 7 to 10 days (hence it reepithelized, in 7 to 10 days, since it is known upon digestion cells are created), after 14 days the wound was checked and it had indeed reepithelized way before the 21 day cut off. It achieved complete regeneration from a 3rd degree burn in under 14days. The control that has been tested thousands of times on all mammals behaved typically. There is no limit to anything that regenerates completely..
What I mean is the hydrogel isn't going to to regenerate a severed finger. where is the boundry for this complete regeneration. Complete regeneration of a skin doesn't mean you will see complete regeneration of a severed limb. And what about the size of the wound? will it work on larger wound sites?
I still think there needs to be more studies done on hydrogel. For instance Acell ecm has shown it can regenerate parts of the esophagus so logically it should be able to regenerate the whole thing but it doesn't, the limit is to a few inches. Why is that?
Hydrogel is definitely the future for wound healing after having read a few studies on what it can do but there is nothing concrete that we will get complete regeneration on humans or other animals.
Certain african mice can completely regenerate their own skin by themselves when injured, could the hydrogel trigger something in the mice tested that it may not trigger in humans.
Really hoping clinical trials will start soon or at least post more news about where they are at with this technology.
Hey uncut, from my observation I have seen no data on a ECM only regenerating part of an esophogus. Only information that they form a structure. Anyway you cannot compare internal injury with external wounds. For instance a loose gel would be no use in an internal injury as you would not be able to use a dressing. You do not get stomach acid naturally thrown up at your skin for instance. So that comparison is chalk and cheese.
However if you look at the relationship between all mammals, all equally treated scaffolds do is degrade or reject at similar rates, and this relationship is under stood, it is tangible. All that happens is they get degraded or get rejected by the body. There have been literally thousands of mammals that have been treated. The logical likelihood that a scaffold would get a brain and say I do not like chicken today and not follow suit is non existent. It cannot discriminate tissue. The idea that this degrading or rejection pattern of this would al of a sudden change for the first time ever with a new scaffold with all this data following patterns is not logical. The reasoned position of expectancy here is that they will follow the pattern of thousands of other scaffold before them and just degrade or reject at similar rates in mammals. This is very concrete and tangible, it was tested against a control tested on thousands of mammals..

Egg oil is only made by a few companies, and I'm not sure of the methods. I dont want egg oil with solvents in it or hexane.
Will a handcrank oil press work with boiled yolks. I dont know, but if it does we don't need to depend on anyone to produce hexane free cold pressed egg yolk oil.
I am giving up on Hydrogel until I read about it being in some clinical phase with a goal to become a product. Pining over it right now it's a waste of #$%^ing time! No one is doing anything with it- except fighting for the intellectual rights to own it.

Hydrogel is a delivery system. So is egg oil. And I'm pretty you can impregnate jeltrait or gelatin with the egg oil so you can make patches that disolve and feed the healing tissue in a wound.

If you wanna go to the safe side,i advise you to derma stamp the scar and apply the oil.
I know its not like excision or cut but still it will give you a safer profile to think about.
Also check into the thumb regrowth with silver iontophoresis by Robert O Becker.

I wish it is being degraded in human tissue.
okay we need to take this conversation in another direction until there's word on hydrogel, so how about this --most of us can see a bit of improvement, maybe only 20 percent with lasers, and up to at least 50 percent. Now add on recell by avita, that can give us some assurance that the side effects of the laser will be minimzed. but what else? If you guys are looking for "complete regeneration" there's really nothing except in the world of "new age" therapies and yes this electricity stuff and egg oil are both "new age" oh well....i guess there's nothing.
