Hi,

Exactly which HA supplement did you order Maya? They have a few HA supplements on that site. One of them that said it was specifically for the skin has colloidal silicon in it--I heard that's very good for the skin.

What kind is everyone else taking?

I'm really thinking about taking this too.

Here is an article that says sweet potatoes promote HA.

Note: It also says it is derived from chicken cartilage(at least this brand. I wonder, are all)? Anyway, thought I'd mention it due to the bird(chicken) flu currently occurring in China.

Emma - I ordered these: http://www.iherb.com/puultihaform.html

What do you think? - I guess you'd have to eat a lot of sweet potatoes!!

I should get them next week ... but I may hold of taking them for a while as I want to do a liver cleanse first ...

I haven't read the liver cleanse thread, but be careful. I did a liver cleanse a few years ago with some products that had Milk Thistle in them and I got the biggest and only cyst I ever had. It left a scar as big as a nickle. When you detox you often break-out big time.

Hey Scorp,

Actually I've been thinking of using this topically as well. I've had this link in my favorites list for a few weeks debating on whether I wanted to try it or not. Now you have me even more interested. Hmmmm, yet another product. =)

I started Hyaluronic Acid supplements a week ago... The price is very good but the shipping cost is outrageous... I ordered 6 boxes (60 tablets per box)... paid 23.85$ for the product itself and 18.92$ for shipping&handling (total $42.77)! But it still is very good deal! Here is the link if you are interested http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=19262

Here are the other articles...

Hi guys,

I picked up a different brand of Hyaluronic acid caps tonight at GNC and it came with a HA Skin Rejuvenating Serum. I am going to give this a go and see if it has any effect. The ingredients are: Purified Water, Glycerin, BioCell Collagen II (Type II Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Chondroitin Sulfate), Propylene Glycol.... It is under the brand name of Derma Beauty.

Shipping was $27.44.

So for 4 bottles I paid $59.24

But THANKS TO MAYA the products pusher, I just ordered the HA supplements. I think they are tablets though and I prefer capsules but oh well. So it comes to 15 bucks a bottle. Still a bargain!!

Oops sorry Katu!! Ahh... I had already ordered some HA from iherb but I thought these are such a good deal I had to have them as well!!! So, like you, I ordered 6 boxes .. and the shipping is more than the HA! sad.gif Still, very cheap, total came to about $50, which is around $8 a pack (I saw these same HA product for $55 a pack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Anyway, I received my iherb order today for the HA, and other stuff like NAC, digestive enzymes, childrens vitamins etc..(wow! only about 5 days, very good .... and I didn't get stung for import taxes yay!!! I spent around $200 with iherb .... it was a big box but they only charge a set $20 from the US to UK.

Katu - any update so far? Is your face plumped? biggrin.gif Animegirle ... any update? Who else is taking this?

Hey Katu - face plumping - when you look more youthful I guess - fine lines filled in, face looks fresh etc...

Oh, I received my liver flush stuff today from www.sensiblehealth.com .........I don't know how to incorporate all this LOL!!! I think I'll start all those herbs in few weeks and just concentrate on the HA for now.

I thought we were meant to take tripple dose for 2 weeks? :-k (according to the original article posted on this thread) .. what do you think?

Maya,

that's the problem: juicing gives me the same effect,-youthful looks! and FAST!

I only remember double dose... went through all articles in the thread and didn't find anything about tripple dose... or just getting older? or may be detoxifcation started to fog my head? biggrin.gif

oh, and thanx for the link!

Hey Katu - LOL!!! - this was the article ... what I meant by tripple dose ... the standard dose is 150mg... but if 420mg is best dose for the 1st 2 weeks, then it has to be 3 times the normal dose.

Read an article last night in Woman's World about Hyaluronic Acid Supplements. Does anyone take this supplement? A few of the highlights are below:

*Taking HA for just 4 months boosts collagen production almost three-fold, resulting in firmer, smoother, more youthful-looking skin, report researchers. Experts say HA also acts like a super-sponge holding up to 1000 times its own weight in moisture and plumping skin tissues so dramatically, it erases fine lines, wrinkles and even crow's feet within months.

*The good news: boosting your HA levels will not only prevent future scarring, it'll erase the scars you already have, says Deanne Dolnick, M.S. (LA nutrition educator) In fact, research suggests taking just 140mg of HA daily shortens the time it takes for wounds to heal by 40% and reduces even thick, red keloid scars by at least 50% in four months.

**Dr. London advises taking 420mg daily for the FIRST TWO WEEKS, "then taper down to a maintenace dose of 140mg daily."

Maya,

i missed/forget that information.user posted image.. here is another advice from http://store.yahoo.com/iherb/puultihaform.html :

"Recommended Usage: As a dietary supplement, adults take 3 capsules daily. Best if taken before a meal. For initial use, for the first 30 days, double the dose for maximum benefits. Or take as directed by your health care professional. "

By "doubling my dose" i also mean the dose for "Ethernal Youth" where they recommend 1 tablet twice a day... each tablet is 300mg of HA-DS...(150 mg each?) so if i take 4 tablet per day = 150mg * 4 = 600mg/day

should be enough... :-k
