Make that 9. But i feel good today, i bought 2 nail polishes with wonderful colors, one light blue and another light purple ( ?w=600&h=450) and they both sparkle, i love sparkles! And a sparkling golden eyeshadow, a mascara that after the girl applied to my eyelashes actually made a woman ask which that mascara was-so great. Shopping therapy! Who knows what will happen tomorrow to put an end to happiness
Shopping always makes me happy lol....I love sparkly nail polish too and also sparkly lipsticks Good to see your in good spirits! What mascara did u buy? I'm looking for a new one, the one I'm using right now is Hypnose Drama Doll Lashes from Lanc´me, it works nice but looking for something that's going to make my lashes go POW lol ....As far as my acne goes its a lot better this month, I'm assuming the Spiro has started kicking in or at least that's what I'm hoping and its not short lived. Wishing you a great new years Maria!!

Yes i have read your post and i am very happy for you!! I am afraid you won't find the mascara, it's mady by a greek brand (erre due - extreme long lash, just in case). I also bought a new make up remover, water based, that removes almost all make up from the first sweep. I used to use wipes and i had to rub and rub and still have make up residuals that most likely contributed to my comedones.
I am in good mood though there is always this fear, but i am confident! Thanks, i hope for a clear 2014 for all of us!
I have decided to post a picture of my progress with one month of the bleaching cream. For the last picture i used flash because i feel it shows more accurately my red marks compared to the ones without flash. I am also almost 2 weeks clear (excluding a comedone that i picked and it inflamed) but i have been avoiding "pure" dairy even though i had many things with dairy. What do you think?
Nice! Your skin looks great!
Your bleaching cream seems to be helping a lot with the red marks, and of course...it's always nice to not get new spots when treating red marks, so it seems like everything is working in your favor!!
I didn't realise the change until i put all the pictures together, i am so happy it's working! I plan to do a few chem. peels to help a little more and hopefully get rid of these annoying comedones-i have picked already 10, there are at least 3 more to pick and new keep forming. Then i will have to use something stronger than b.p., i hope i won't have to deal with initial breakout.
Skin is looking good Maria 🙂 So happy for you!!
Thanks!! Now i have to aim at all these clogged pores, i have read about the baby brush method and i think i should try it before retinoids (i am very concerned about the possibility of ib). I tried to pick a few of them and a blackhead today, but being angry with someone i didn't succed, i hope they won't inflame, it's so nice not to have these big painful things on your face!
It seems your using a great bleach cream, I can barely notice any scars at all, that's awesome! I will be scheduling another series of Microdermabrasions soon to fade mine. Now that I'm on my 3rd month of Spiro I have rarely been needing the use of Retin-A which I cant believe is happing since Ive been using it for 14 years now.
Ive had 6 Microdermabrasions done already and my last one was 2 months ago, my skin seems to love them so hopefully the next series will fade them even more. Really your skin looks great! Wishing and hoping mine looks as good as yours soon

Thanks! The first time it took me almost 2 year for them to fade because i actually never thought that i could do something about them - make up covered them anyway! Now i just want to have want i lost asap,i know about microdermabrasion and it sounds interesting. I want to avoid retinoids because the last thing i need is a stepback. A cousin told me about a dermatologist and i will ask her in a few days. I am sure that if your skin isn't already good (we tend to see things worse than they are) it will be soon! The first step is to be clear, i am so happy things are getting better for you!
I got it early! It had a little head and i was able to squeeze it out, indeed the pore (that i unsuccessfully picked) had some puss in but i drained it and it's healing now. However my sister asked me to buy her this (it's not only covered but also filled with chocolate
) .. and as you understand i could do nothing.. i ate a slice of this delicious thing . And now i am waiting for the consequences..
Omg that does look soooooo yummy!!! But I must admit I gave in to and ate a piece of chocolate yesterday
I'm weak lol. Now I'm also waiting to see if I break out. *fingers crossed* that we both don't
Oh it is! I hope we won't break out but you seem to have better results than i do so i wouldn't worry too much! Just enjoy these little things that make life so interesting!
I hope there aren't any consequences to such a yummy looking dessert! How could something so great make bad things happen? haha
This beautiful thing has every acne trigger you can think of: milk, flour, chocolate, butter, eggs, soy, nuts. I don't see anything huge emerging yet but i won't rest for the next 24 hours
Geez, if all those things trigger acne (even with Spiro), it's a miracle that I'm not completely covered from head to to in acne! Lol, but seriously. I drink almond milk every morning with my cereal. I eat almonds like it's my job. I don't drink milk, but I eat cheese everyday! I have yet to introduce a full egg (by itself) since last July, though...the worst breakout EVER...and it was after eating about 6-7 deviled eggs. So, those might be a trigger for me, OR it was just a coincidence. Regardless...I'm afraid of eating them by themselves. Doesn't mean I don't eat foods that contain eggs though! Not that often, but...it happens!
I eat flour (bread) daily because bread is my favorite food of all time and there's no way I'm quitting bread ever.
Anyway, hopefully Spiro fends off any breakout that these foods may cause you! Just wondering, and I'm not trying to discredit your idea that certain foods break you out...but have you ever thought that maybe the stress of eating a certain food is actually breaking you out instead of the food itself? Stress makes my skin crazy.

My sister told me once that milk causes acne. I didn't believe her and i forgot about it.. then i started breaking out (after quitting spiro) and soon i realised that the days i had dairy i would break out. The days i didn't, i wouldn't. Then i remembered what she said and searching for it, i found this forum and so many people blaming dairy for worsening their acne. I tried to replace it with almonds and sesame (and sardines for calcium) but they also seemed to break me out. I am not really sure that they were responsible and not the underlying cause of my acne left untreated-getting worse every day, but it seemed like that at the time. I have a picture after eating a traditional dessert that is basically a sesame bar.. That's when i went crazy and started being afraid of bread (gluten), oils etc. Insane and unhealthy, i lost so much weight.
Anyway, i am absolutely sure about dairy and chocolate. However don't worry, spiro is a miracle even when it comes to chocolate and dairy - that's why i decided to try again. For good skin and health reasons as well.
Yeah, I've heard dairy is a pretty big culprit. Obviously it doesn't affect some people, but others it's a huge trigger for.
I've gone down the road of being obsessed about the stuff I eat, too. I thought that over-eating caused acne for a while because it seemed that when I lost weight, my acne would begin to disappear. Ugh, that was a terrible thing to think because I too, lost way too much weight for my frame.
I definitely stay away from a few foods-- even though I have no real proof that they cause my acne. For example, one time I ate a ton of fruit candy (Twizzlers), and had a really awful breakout (cystic!!) the next day. But I haven't eaten them since, so I don't know for sure.
The type of spot that is in your picture is what I got after eating a bunch of deviled eggs (except I had like, 15 of them!!). So anyway...it's weird because sometimes when I eat dairy stuff or sugary stuff, nothing happens...but then other times, something DOES happen. I have no idea. haha...ahh! It's enough to rehash my disordered eating, that's for sure.
Hopefully Spiro is the answer to it all! Sorry for the super long post! lol

It happens to me too, to believe that some things are safe and then break out! It's so frustrating because it means that i can't eat that food, i have a new spot-red mark and it's a proof that spiro isn't fully working yet. Oh i remembered that the last summer i barely ate any ice cream or crepes, the next one i am sure i 'll eat for both .
It's not long at all, not when i think that in a few days i really should start studing from morning to night - exam period is coming!
the bad thing: there is something like a clogged pore in the middle of my cheek but it's different, it seems to have a thicker layer of skin on the top. I guess this means that i can't pick it and it smells like big trouble in the future.
The good thing: there is a combat going on and i am winning! I had a few pink and somewhat painful flat spots but they were short lived. Nothing huge!
