my red marks of 2-3 yrs r fading slowly but surely, any tips on the uneveness (pitting) where the red marks are, i have the exact same thing you have where theyre only visible with light at certain angles and what not. Oh yea for those oily plugs in the skin i found that an eye dropper works best, squeeze air out and use the suction but dont overdo it if skin turns reddish the plug isnt that loose yet and some water to help with sealing suction works well with it.
I think the only option for the pitting and indents are dermarolling, harsh chemical peels done in the doctor's office, derambrasion, punch grafts, injections or lasers. Microdermabrasion won't do much. I just stop worrying about the indented scars and work on my red ones.
Hm, never thought of using an eye dropper. I'll remember that next time. Thanks. Hopefully it works even though these suckers are in there forever.
I took side photos today. The lighting in kind of different for the new ones, but it should still show.
The biggest difference for me from the June 2009 photo is that I'm not breaking out in huge cystic zits. I had one forming on my jaw a couple days ago, but that died. The 2009 photos were under bright white lights, so it looks ...brighter.
Gosh.. how do you do it?Your skin has improved a lot... congrads and good job on that.
I wish I had your willpower to live without so many foods... I bet my skin would be as flawless as yours too.
Aw, trust me, my skin is not flawless. You can get it clear too! Take baby steps with your diet. The first thing you should try is getting an allergy food test. Go to your regular doctor and they should refer you to an allergy specialist. If you keep eating foods you're allergic to, the foods will create too much inflammation in your body, which is bad. After you get the food allergies, cut them out. If you can't get the allergy test, the first thing I suggest you cut out is sugar and dairy the most.
cutting out all those foods is probably good for budget as well as your waist. Only problem i got now are my old marks i only get a zit every 2-3 months nowadays but its the lighting sometimes that gets to you
Yeah, totally helps weight, but I am already underweight, so a strict diet can be a problem for me. I am trying to fade mine now too. Long process. Maybe chemical peels will work for you? Haven't for me. Just make sure you use sunscreen for those red marks.
Complex 15! My Mom has really sensitive skin and rosacea, and my skin cannot tolerate ANY other moisterizer. Her derm recommended it to her because "apparently" it's almost as gentle as pure water... Not sure about the validity of that statement, but that's what her derm said, and we've both been using it for years.

Hm, I have heard about that. I'll check it out. Thanks 🙂
Oh and is it lotion or cream you use?

I believe that it just says "Facial Moisterizer" on it. I accidently bought the hand cream one time, because the tube is identical to the face moisterizer! I used hand cream on my face for about a month and kept wondering why it felt oily, I thought they changed the formulation and I was so bummed out. Then I actually read the tube and felt like an idiot : (. It sinks in like water, and whatever the opposite of greasy it, this is it. It's like, gelatinous water haha, I dunno!

Seems like it is right. Hopefully it works for me.

It actually looked like this, but it's called the same thing. I think that the one you posted in just the US packaging, and the one I posted is Canadian. It's the only moisterizer I've ever used in my life, I've tried samples of other moisterizers, but I haven't ever found anything that I like more than this one.

Yeah, probably. I'm from America. Do you or your mom wear makeup? What brand? Just wondering.
Did my first needle roller treatment (1.0 mm). I just tried it out on my temples. I do have acne scars on them, not hyperpigmentation, just indents. The needles look tinier than I thought. It doesn't really hurt in the beginning. Once your skin starts to get tender, that's when it will hurt more. It's bearable. If I can handle a full face TCA peel, I can handle needles going over my skin, ha. The instructions says to roll it 10 times each in different directions like up, down, right, left.
I started using the Complex moisturizer on half my face today. No break outs at the moment, but I did eat a lot of sugar today :/
It has been a little over 1 month of using Finacea. Do I see rapid results? No, not really, maybe a little. 2 months left until I'll give up. I'm still on the 30g tube I first bought, so that's good.
My Mom doesn't wear anything on her face (sensitive skin & rosacea, everything irritates her skin). I wear everday minerals concealer (old formulation) and I wear a silica powder over my whole face (make up forever micro hd) intead of foundation.
How did you like the consistancy of it? It's a light moisterizer, so if I need more hydration, I just apply another layer. I also like that it's not greasy or really "creamy". Hope your skin likes it!

Oh, I don't think silica worked out for me. I remember getting a zit hours after wearing it. I never had a product work that fast, but I know it was from that. It was very runny, but I only had to use a little bit. I was surprised at how far it went. Thanks again for the suggestion. I hope this is the final product!
Take a look at the pictures under February 2010.. random!!! 🙂Are you talking about the tinypic links? 🙁 Yeah, those are messed up. I'll start using a Photobucket next time.
Haha yes! I think it said something about a pic of your jaw, and then I clicked and it was two random asian dudes.. 🙂
I'm on page, I think 7 or 8 of your log right now, it make take a few days to read it all, but, honestly with each page, I get more and more inspired to keep up my diet (avoiding sugar, gluten, grains, dairy mainly). I usually do very well during the week, and fall off track on the weekends by eating chocolate, ice cream, and other treats, I make sure they are as "healthy" as they can be, but I still feel rotten afterwards, as in my stomach is blaoted and I just have a sick feeling the rest of the night. I can always expect a breakout in big pustules a few days after a sugar binge.. and I keep taking 5 steps forward and 2 steps back.. Your log makes me want to be more strict on my diet. I thought that my acne was a result of coming off the pill, but.. my cycles have been regular since my first month off (I'm now almost 6 mos off). Even MORE regular than before taking the pill OR while I was on it.. I think I have some sort of candida issue, and also insulin resistance. I really think that cutting sugar will cut down on inflammation and also reduce the large pustular acne I'm getting. I can't wait to finish reading your log, your improvements are amazing to say the LEAST. I was able to find a few pics that still worked!

Aw, it's really good to hear your progress goals. I had done a lot of learning in the past. A lot of mistakes too.. still have some of the marks to show for it.
I have a question. Who does the grocery shopping and how old are you? Edit: I read your blog and you're married. I'm guessing it is hard to eat healthy when your husband probably doesn't want to jump on the band wagon :/. I do my own grocery shopping, so I get to decide on what foods comes into my place. I stupidly bought Kashi bars today and binge ate the entire thing because I wanted all that sugar, so I know how it is with eating poorly even now, this far in the game. I can never keep a box of junk food here for long. Like you, I feel rotten too, but give me a week and I'll forget about it. However, I see the progress my skin makes and it helps me say no. I don't even go into that aisle anymore. This was a dumb impulse buy probably triggered by the sugary food I had before going grocery shopping that was offered by a friend. Sugar is a drug and wants more and more, so don't feel bad if you can't always fight the urges. Your brain is playing hard ball. If you do ever binge on sugar, at least take precaution and take chromium before you eat it. Chromium helps with sugar absorption. Cinnamon is known to help also.
If you want, you can PM me and tell me which acne photos (like by month) you want to see, like the ones that got messed up. I do keep a personal photobucket with every acne photo I have ever taken that I can link you the photos to.
Just remember to take it slow with your diet and don't beat yourself up over eating junk once awhile. I tend to drink a lot more water once I eat junk food. It kind of helps in my opinion to get it out quicker. Plus, the water will make you feel more full so it might stop you from eating the junk more. The thing is to not let it control yourself or your brain will want to rebel. It's okay it indulge. That's why some people who diet take 1 cheat day a week and end up fine. Just be simple with your sugars. Maybe just get your sugars from fruit. After you cut down on sugar, it is so easy to not want sugar again. It just tastes fake and gross with what is on the market.
I probably told you this, but be sure to take photos of your progress because the littlest breakout could tear you down even if you had done amazing progress.
