Ummm, good job, necro!

You think sunscreen is a must when I go out since you said sun is good for redmarks?

Good Luck and stay clear!

Ill post it for you, here is a Necromancer post from a while back.

This is the #1 and only post any acne sufferer will ever need to read that is going through mild to severe acne. By mild I mean a few clusters of pimples on an oscillating basis (heavy to light year around). By severe I donžt mean some of the pictures I have seen other membersž post of victims of extreme acne or other unfortunate acne problems that will leave them heavily scarred for the rest of their lives. By severe, I mean those that have cystic acne that is controllable along with your everyday pimples. It can be all over your face but not in disfiguring form.

My background is that I have gone through acne since I was 10-11. I used to have large pimples and cysts all over my forehead and pimples around my nose and mouth. I never had it on my cheeks. I also had lots of cysts on my back and shoulders. But my face is about as oily as a personžs face can be short of dumping my head in some 10W-30. I eventually my several lifestyle changes and I was able to control it short of 1 or 2 pimples every few weeks. My face and back is now clear.

Now to the point and the reason this post is #1. I have the cure that will end all other cures. To sum it up, itžs willpower. I know you are either saying …œwtf?? or …œwhatever? or …œwhat are you talking about?? What I am saying it takes a combination of remedies to completely cure all acne. I saw some people suggest that it may be your liver. I agree completely. This means CHANGE YOUR DIET. Yeah, you are taking all that medication and using all the creams, but why are you still eating at McDonaldžs, drinking soda, and still eating candy like no tomorrow? The acne is not being attached to your skin from outside sources, its being created within your body. Think of it like this, if you sweat, where is all that coolant coming from? If you donžt drink pure water all the time, then it will contain impurities like sugar, oils, fats, and starches that will leave your face in a mess. DRINK WATER ONLY is another suggestion. Drink it until it hurts, until you urinate all day and canžt take it anymore. It might not help or cure your acne, but it wonžt hurt. It also takes away that variable completely.

I also see these people post stuff up like …œmy face just blew up overnight?. Yeah right. If that happened, you are a specimen to science. It doesnžt just happen in one day. It starts and YOU LET IT HAPPEN. Yes I am saying you are partly to blame and herežs why. You start getting them or feel them coming and at first you donžt know what is happening to your skin. But after a few days you know from either friends or family telling you that you are going through puberty. If so, start doing something NOW. Donžt wait, and donžt tell me you canžt afford it. Use it as a Christmas present. Donžt celebrate Christmas? Use it for your birthday present. GO TO THE DERMATOLOGIST NOW. Also, I hear people trying to pick at it, especially cysts or deep pimples. WHY ARE YOU PICKING AT IT? You are only driving the bacteria deeper and creating scars that YOU CREATED. Let the cyst or pimple stay there. Donžt touch it, donžt look at it, just treat it and forget about it. I have no scars from any of my acne.

As for sunlight, I see mixed opinions. Skin cancer can happen, but so can you dying from a car accident today. I say THE MORE SUN, THE BETTER. After all, superman is powered by the sun and look how strong he is (Just kidding, although the sun does help tremendously). This goes for those of you lazy people that sit in your rooms feeling sorry about yourselves. Sit outside and cry then.

Go WORKOUT. Some of you might have acne because all that fat and oils in your bodies have no wear else to go but through your skin. Exercise, sweat, and remove those impurities while looking better at the same time.

Overall, it's all about willpower and discipline. Try a cream or remedy and if it doesnžt work, wait and try another. I recommend the following,

-Drink a gallon of water a day, throughout the day

-Eliminate completely greasy foods, fast foods, candy, chocolate (if it isnžt naturally found in nature, do not eat it). I donžt care if you get some stupid urge like …œI have to have popcorn to watch a movie?. You know what I eat at the theater? I BRING A BAG OF BABY CARROTS!!!

-Go outside everyday or tan to get some Vitamin D

-Get plenty of sleep (although this remedy is exaggerated, since I am clear whether I sleep at all)

-Exercise!

-Do not disturb your acne. Look at the mirror and say, …œBring It!? and refuse to touch even the worst cyst

-Find a remedy whether it be a cream that suits your skin or a pill you take or even regular dermatologist visits for advice or more intensive medications

-Lastly, stop complaining like itžs the end of the world. If you had any willpower or dedication at all, you would have a face unscarred and very treatable with the medications they have out on the market today. Some of you have scars because you just pick and pick at it. I have read lots of posts about how …œ‚¦I just popped it, I didnžt care anymore‚¦? Well if you didnžt care, then donžt complain when your face looks like the surface of the moon and expect a doctor to fix the impossible.

:ninja:

UPDATE 06-12-07:

Acne is completely gone from the face. However, due to my regimen and possible other factors something has gone wrong with the way my skin regenerates itself. I have lots of peeling around the forehead and around the nose. It is almost like an infinite sunburn, except I haven't been in the sun very much. I am currently in the process of trying new things to fix this. Pieces of skin, especially around my forehead and eyebrows constantly 'fall off' throughout the day. I would say it is from dryness but my skin is still pretty oily.

Last night I tried something different in addition to my regimen and so far the results are amazing. I thought of it based on logic and why it should work based on what it is already intended for. I won't tell you guys yet until I know there aren't any bad consequences. But so far, my skin is a lot better today and the peeling has stopped for now. I will stay updated.

I also plan to start using Nivea products because they seem to have good reviews.

Ok, I have for the past 2 weeks I cut out 100% all soda products and all fast food. I have gone back to cooking everything myself and drinking just water and milk. All, yes all, my bacne is gone again. I am pretty sure the soda and fast food was creating a mess on my back from all the sugar and oils that tried to go through the pores of my back. I will probably stick with it since I have to go to the beach this weekend and I don't want to have my back filled with bacne.

For my face, I had been using the unthinkable:

with

http://image.bizrate.com/resize?sq=160&amp...9&mid=17911

I figured, that this stuff could be used for the scalp and clear away all dead skin cells and dandruff, why not work on my face? Well it is working somewhat. My face is still peeling though. I had cysts around my ears from all the fast food I was eating as well, but that has all dissappeared. I may need to turn to switch to a new moisturizer because I think I know what is going on. The moisturizer I am using just collects the dead skin that naturally sheds throughout the day and this is what is falling off throughout the day. I have also limited my time in the sun to prevent burning and more skin issues.

I'm just glad my back is clear after just a couple of weeks back on the regimen.

Where I have failed, you may succeed

Quick update on what has worked, what I have done wrong, and what I have found to fix...

1) Don't use BP on body acne that is not active anymore. This goes for redmarks especially. I was using both BP and SA a lot on my bacne on my shoulders and although no new acne would form, the old redmarks never faded like they should. Since I have stopped for the past 2-3 weeks, most of the redmarks have faded, and my bacne is almost completely clear (scarring, marks, and all).

2) If you want it, you gotta make sacrifices. I have not eaten at fast food or had any sugar, candy, or junk food in 3-4 months straight now. I have not drank anything except water or milk during that time and longer either. I still drink alcohol but IMO it is a lot better than soda or other similar drinks.

3) Face acne is 100%.

4) Scalp acne is clear from using a mixture of shampoos.

5) I have stopped taking weightgainers for bodybuilding as the high sugar content was making my skin more oily and my scalp super oily. This caused breakouts on the scalp. I have not had any since stopping the weightgainers.

Ah, no doubt you'll be hitting 500 soon.

I got a question though, i'm still on my bulk and its been pretty slow, so I decided i'd start taking Bako Shakes. (by Bako Lifter)

1 cup peanut butter

3.5 cups milk

1 cup vanilla ice cream

2 tbsp olive oil

2,500 calories / 100g of protein

Was wondering if I started drinking one of those a day, would that be overkill on my face? I know you stopped taking weight gainers because of it giving oily skin, would that shake affect me?

The sun is not going to improve red marks from acne-it will make them darker. They might just appear less evident because your face is tanner. Also, benzoyl peroxide is an oxidant (aging) and slows the healing process of the skin, which could slow the process of the red marks healing.

Sorry, but I have tons of experiments and evidence to show the sun is very beneficial for acne and scars. The sun works as an exfoliation system if you know what you are doing - over time. Look at my back pics. It was once bombarded by acne. Now it is nearly clear 99.9%.

BP may be aging but I'd rather fix wrinkles than suffer a bunch of scars. I still get carded everywhere and some people think I am as young as 18 or less.

I am actually tired of people saying what the sun does to acne without knowing what the sun does to skin in the first place. :naughty:

Well I'd like to see this "evidence" that the sun helps red marks. I didn't say anything about the sun and actual acne, Im talking about the little red spots left afterwards(not scars). Mine reduced by about 50% when I started wearing sunscreen. As for exfoliation, of course that will help with them. But you can easily get that from a skincare product, and it would probably be quicker and more effective.

All great things take time. I am highly against fast exfoliation or skin abrasions. They are unnatural acts on the skin. Trust me on this, the sun is the best thing if you know what you are doing. ALL of my scars have gone away. It has taken years but yes ALL. Not 99%, not 99.99999%, ALL! I am not a hermit however. I go out and play.

:)

The back in my sig and gallery are real and mine. It used to be destroyed in scars. Now look at the flawless victory that this Mortal Kombat contestant did to the back :D.

All I can say is there are much faster and effective ways to rid yourself of "scars"(red marks are not scars, its hyperpigmentaion) so if you want to spend years waiting for the sun to fade them then so be it. Personally, Im going to stick to my lactic acid peels and sunscreen, which have helped a great deal. Most dermatologists will suggest sunscreen for this type of problem. And yes necromancer, Im am not a hermit either, I got out and "play." I just wear sunscreen and don't lay out in the sun. In fact, one of my favorite things to do is hiking, but thanks for the offhanded insult.

LOL, it wasn't an insult. It was explaining about how I got rid of my scars. You need to read about what peels do. I still got all the layers to my skin. Peels remove layers and they don't come back. Skin keeps getting thinner. What you are doing will ruin your skin in the long run. Trust me. :)

I don't know if that it true or not, but this isn't something Im doing long term. Mine are almost completely gone as a result of it. I'm sure if you had strong chemicals peels done on a regular basis for long periods of time you could do damage, but that's not what Im doing. I know that retinoids thin the outer layer of skin, but they actually thicken the inner layer of skin over time.
