So Ive currently been on accutane since March my first month I was taking 30mg and from second month till now Ive been on 2 20mg a day. Id say my skin cleared up pretty nice only had actually scarring/some red marks until the end of last month,When I went out of town and missed 12days of my accutane Towards the end of those days I started to get small red under the skin bumps and from then on I just keep getting more of them. Last month was suppose to be my last month but my derm says I have to be completely clear for atleast 1-2 months before I can end so he extended me another month. He also told me my moisturizer I was using could be breaking me out but Ive been using that my whole accutane journey and beforehand and it hasnt really broke me out. He gave me samples of cerave pm lotion n I used it for a few days and it ended up causing even more bumps. Is this normal? Should I be on a higher dose I weigh 109lbs. Could the fact that I missed a few doses mess me up?anyone else experienced this?

I started breaking out literally immediately after stopping accutane. Within a week or so as I recall. It's not the silver bullet it's cracked up to be for a lot of people.

Also, I am a little wary of the cerave PM ingredients. Ceramides can be great, but it depends which ones they're using and how much. Too much or the wrong kind might break people out. Also, you've got cetearyl alcohol + ceteareth-20 in there, which when combined might be pore-clogging.

But...big picture here is that accutane is supposed to be uber-powerful, so it shouldn't matter if you're using a slightly not-great moisturizer. Accutane is the nuclear option. If you're still breaking out this easily, you might want to prepare yourself for a relapse of acne when you get off of it. The good news is often the relapse isn't as bad as your acne was prior to accutane though.

Ok and last thing...you can always try eating lower carb. High-carb diets may initiate a chain of events that could lead to breakouts. So that's one way you can try to reign things in naturally.
