Hello,

I've been on low-dose Accutane (10 mg 2x per week) for several years now as it's the only thing that's helped me keep clear of cystic acne that has plagued me since I was a teenager. I'm in my late-30s. I've tried rounds and rounds of antibiotics and topicals, to no avail.

Even as early as a few months ago I noticed that my cystic acne was coming back after having stopped Accutane in favor of topicals following the advice of my new dermatologist. My prior dermatologist was comfortable keeping me under low dose Accutane on a permanent basis but I had to move to California for work so I had to switch dermatologists.

I'm now looking for a new dermatologist who's hopefully more willing to understand my plight and prescribe me with low dose Accutane on a maintenance dose.

Does anyone know of any dermatologists in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco or just California in general that have experience treating patients with low dose Accutane on an extended basis? Would like to connect with an open-minded doctor. Would be great to get some references.
