im on month 3 of accutane,day 78 to be specific and im still breaking out all over my face. before accutane i had not a lot of acne on my forehead just small bumps and now its covered with painful cystic acne, it hurts to move my face because it puts pressure on my forehead cysts. theyve been there for 2 ish weeks and i feel like my acne is never gonna get better. my lower half of my face like my jaw have improved a lot but theres still lots of clogged pores and i still get acne. has anyone had this experience? i know its working cause my skin is significantly dry and im having other side effects but i just dont know why its making everything worse
in my experience, the entire course of Accutane is basically a purging of all the bad stuff under our skin and for people like us with acne, there are LAYERs and LAYERs of bad. I had 1 initial breakout, and then a second, and I think I will likely have a third. because my skin is a piece of sh*t. I'm on day 63 and I think the worst is still yet to come for me. I took Accutane before and it worked wonders and I didn't notice a drastic difference (due to taking pics almost every day) until after day 90. So that's what I'm looking forward to! Post day 90 skin.
Let your skin purge the nasty shit. I hate the painful ones. & its like no one around me understands. no one gets acne like this, no one knows what Accutane is like. Feel free to complain to me and I'll complain back haha
