Please please read, I'm freaking out!!! I've been on accutane for 11 days (I skipped day 4&5 because I scared myself reading things on the internet). I am so scared about hair loss. I cannot lose my hair, it is my best feature, and I feel like its falling out a lot more, already! Is it too soon? If the accutane is obviously causing hair loss I will stop taking it, I am not risking that. I was prescribed 40mg/day but only been taking 20mg/day since day 6.
This is what I plan to do to prevent hair loss:
- Wash my hair once a week and deep condition with olive oil, coconut oil etc and leave it on for at least 4/5 hours. I do this anyway
- I will start smothering my scalp in oil too when I deep condition and maybe overnight the night before too. (almond,castor&coconut)
- No heat/blowdrying/hair dye etc.
Vitamins:
- Vitamin B complex
- Biotin
- Zinc
- Fish oil
I also want to get Vit E capsules. (I know it seems like a lot I just can't lose my hair).

i have just registered to reply to you! I avoided going on accutane for 3 years as I was sooo scared finally gave up and just went ahead with it. Honestly only side effect was dry lips I was soo scared my hair will fall out I got the most expensive organic Moroccan oil shampoos etc but never really ended up using it. Dont think to much or you will connect everything to roaccutane. I have finished my course but now I have bad scars because I left it so long wish I used it earlier now. Oil your hair dont over wash naturally dry just take care of it. Be happy It will be ok
