I have been on accutane 40 mg 1 a day for two days. The first day I experienced mild brain fog and pressure headaches but I thought it was just the drug kicking in. Today I have experienced fatigue, brain fog, loss of vision, nausea, loss of balance, and extreme pressure headaches. Do I find a way to combat this while still taking accutane, or do I stop accutane altogether. My acne started in high school my senior year. I found that I have had leaky gut and candida in my gut. I have been eating gluten and dairy free for 7 months and around month 4 I had no acne. That lasted about a month and now I have the worst acne I have ever had. Splotchy redness but not too much active acne. 3-4 white heads at a time. I'm at my wits end about the whole thing.

I found drinking a lot of water helps with brain fog, and keeping on top of omega 3, 6, 9 and an additional Kril oil helps daily. I found that if i drunk just enough water, i would still dehydrate quickly and get headaches. As crazy as it sounds, i always carry a bottle of water with me and continuously drink throughout the day as i find drink a lot of water at once doesn't have the same effect as drinking moderate amounts, more often.

I'd recommend the Omega 369 and Kril oils and the water. Have you tried taking accutane with a fatty meal too? When i first attempted accutane ten years ago, i was on an extreme health kick and taking my accutane with a healthy salad - and i experienced all sorts of side effects.

This time around, i'm taking it with peanut butter sandwiches and half an avocado each day, and i'm tolerating it extremely well.

Let us know how you get on as you deserve to have accutane work for you :)

My 15 year old son takes Accutane with a high dose Fish Oil, big breakfast, etc. He has had irritability (like off the charts, it is hurting his relationship with his girl friend, friends, teachers).

He is also depressed and very, very tiredtired. He is not able to do sports or think clearly.

He was a straight A student and now makes half As and half Bs. This is effecting is college applications.

Lastly,
his cholesterol is now 218
(normal is 100-169)
His Triglycerides are 147
(normal is 0-89)
His LDL Cholesterol is 127
0-109
he is 59 and 120 pounds of all lean muscle (boxer).

My husband andI both have genetically higher cholesterol. My husbands heart is now having terrible problems from a life time of high Cholesterol.

I hate accutane. Do not take this while in High School when your grades matter!
or at least start it in April or May and take three months of it during the summer.

I regret letting my son start thispoisen.
